The beautiful historic town of Gubbio in Umbria is perhaps the most beautiful in the whole of Umbria due to it be so well preserved. It originated in the Roman times and is hundred's of years old.
It's located on the base of a mountain and is a multi-level town with many steps and lifts to access the various levels. It's a wonderful town, so clean and tidy, and highly recommended when visiting this region of Italy.
