OMG, Minnie. I totally get that excitement! I did the same thing a few years ago 😂 I drooled over the JS bag back then and bought it used. My gem is the tan leather large hobo. It’s such a show stopper and the leather was truly supple and delish!!! It was so so gorgeous but yes, very unpractical. It gave me shoulder issues…I ended up selling it and then have massive, massive regrets… Years went by and I truly missed the bag, so I bought another used one 15 years later during lockdown blues, haha! I don’t use it really but I love it to death. It has a very special place in my collection.❤

They are made so well, and are just so stinking cute! I love that you are excited. You should be! They don't make 'em like they used to! Why in the heck did I sell mine? I recently bought back my Gucci monogram canvas eclipse shoulder bag. Zero regrets that I had to buy it again. Zero.

I’ve been obsessed with vintage Baguettes in interesting fabrics/designs over the past few months. Doesn’t help that I’ve been rewatching SATC and want to own all those late 90s/early 2000s bags 😍 it’s definitely the nostalgia factor for me too

Hi Minnie! Great score. Where did you find them? I commented earlier but it must have been deleted. I bought a Gucci Secret hobo last summer for $600. The lady was the original owner and bought it on Rodeo Drive and included the receipt. Pretty cool. I also have a Gucci jockey hobo that I haven’t used in 14 years. You inspired me to get them out. The Gucci “black hole” in the perfect color! 🤩🙀💃One of the greatest awkward / semi-functional bags ever! 😅🤎 It’s like wrapping yourself in a yummy Gucci canvas side-cape, that also carries your stuff. AND you got the Mommy-Daughter combo? Darn it Minnie this is fabulous! 👏 Simpson really did have the coolest bags of the era.

Congrats on your holy grail purchase. The blue guccissima embossed leather version of the large horsebit hobo was my holy grail bag. I desperately wanted it back in 2005 and by the time I could afford it, it was discontinued. I eventually secured it from the RealReal back in 2015. Man is it heavy! But I love it. I haven't used it in many years but your video is inspiring me to take it out the dustbag and put her back in rotation.

I used to have a Cognac Leather Gucci horsebit bag and I sold it years back and always regretted it! I believe I saw Jessica Simpson with the bag and had to get it too!

Do you have any ideas for sourcing something like this? I’ve scoured eBay, Mercari and Vintage sites looking for it but can’t find it! It makes me want to cry. Glad you had a positive score!
I have the big version of the hobo bag. When I tell you I LOVE her!!!! I was able to snag her back when Gucci had sales and let me tell you I have worn her a lot. She definitely shows signs of wear but that's ok I will never part with her. Now I'm on the hunt for the leather version. Your bags are stunning ! Enjoy
