Guerlain L homme Ideal Extreme Episode # 317 

Just bought this today, November 26th, 2021. As a relative newbie, this is my very first fragrance with tobacco in it and a "gourmand" edge to it (the plum). I have stayed away from "gourmand", from leather and tobacco so far. I am not really drawn to smelling like stuff people eat. But this one is an easy way for me to...er...ease ever so tentatively into this sector of fragrances. It doesn't scream "tobacco!", doesn't scream "plums!", doesn't really scream anything. It's...refined. Classy. I certainly don't want to smell like a walking marzipan, either. The almond in this one is, again, well blended in. Yes, I like it. I consider it a very happy first dip of the toe, as it were.

So when I wear this I'm complementing myself. That's the only compliment I need. Thanks for another great review AC!

Yes, I think it's the dryness, austerity, aloofness of it that I really like. I suspect I would not be very drawn to the other Ideals. Extreme is just about the limit of my ability to fun with "fruity, leather, tobacco", but it's so well done that I can embrace it.

The black bottle version is L’Homme Ideal L’Intense, which I have a decant of coming in the mail, so I’d be interested to see how it compares to Extreme, since I found the EDP a bit too sweet and cherry cough syrup smelling.

Great review AC I love the L’homme ideal edt and edp but this extreme is my new favourite it’s like an amped up edt with tobacco

Hello AC, I'm fan of this line. I love the EDP and wore it last winter. Yes it's not a beast in terms of projection but it creates a bubble of this magnificent sweet and elegant scent around you that is so alluring. I've tried the Extreme and I liked the addition of tobacco but as you said, the price isn't right just yet. I also tried L'intense and oh boy, from the first sniff it became my favourite flanker. Basically it's the Ideal DNA mixed with smokiness and patchouli. A wonderful scent in my opinion. Very informative review AC as always.

Oh good 'ol Boris. 😂 Great review AC. Haven't smelled it yet myself, but I have put a considerable dent in my edp this autumn. I honestly hope they do an orange or green apple flanker next year, or maybe a purple bottled springy lavender. The minty Cool fell flat pretty quick and it's a shame they discontinued Cologne which makes me think they're either going to bring back another citrus, or make it a fruity/floral since the Aqua Allegoria line seems to have the uber-freshies covered. Either way, I'm likely to own the lot eventually.

Tried it yesterday,and i was impressed....i will try it again in the shop,just to get a second impression before purchasing,but the initial was very very good...love this line.

“A deeper richer version of the EDT” - Exactly what I thought. I find this more mature than the EDP with the sickly sweet cherry note. This is wonderful.

Great review , I ordered a bottle and paid sixty something. Had the edt previously and liked it but wanted something slightly less sweet

Great video as always - between edp, exttreme n edt which one is the best. I have heard poor performance of ideal line esp edt! Between plum n cherry (extreme vs edp) which is more of all year round or would that be edt. I have Vetiver after your review thinking of shalimar or ideal. Thanks AC Sir

Great review AC, new to your channel but i already saw a lot of your videos. i just bought this fragrance, and i must say you were right on every point ! including the price too, i payed 65 euros for a 100ml. Given the inflation i would say it's a pretty good price for the quality you'll be getting :) Cheers

After seeing your review, and the other reviews, I was compelled to order a bottle. I ran into a snag. All the sources I’ve been using are completely out. I ended up ordering a bottle from Harrods. I had to pay a lot more for the shipping of course but this sounds like a complete masterpiece. Great review AC, I enjoy your reviews.

I liked it but decided to stick to my EDT. This is very feminine IMO AC. Very jammy
