Your mom is a fan and collector of pops while my mom fears for my future and wants me to collect less. Parents are from completely different generations.
I think it has less to do with generations and more to do with backgrounds. My dad is big into scale model collecting so he gets my LEGO collecting, if I did collect pops though (which I don’t) I think he’d be less thrilled because he doesn’t like them personally and thinks they’re useless dust collectors. Either way my parents don’t influence my financial decisions anyway, they’re very much in the “it’s your money” camp of thought lol
