@@BorisGamingChannel, you know even if you are a RU-vidrs you can still have emotions right, unless you were him how the hell would you know if he is doing it for the video? Fun fact: just because you’re a RU-vidr making a video doesn’t mean you can’t have any emotions except for screaming, what do you have against RU-vidrs having genuine reactions?
I'm Greek, so when he said Turkey for the Greek one, I was like "Oh no...Jack accidentally started a war...Like, out of all countries, he just had to say Turkey" lmao
Some tips for recognizing anthems: - Neutral countries' anthems are usually slow. - S. American anthems are fast and jumpy - European anthems usually have better use of orchestras - Turkic anthems sound "threatening." - Many south/east asian anthems do sound "exotic." - Eastern European ones are more "powerful." - Southern European ones sound a lot like march -African countries usually have bad use of orchestra - Memorize the word beginnings of at least English-speaking countries (like O Canada) - The Russian/Soviet anthem should be just memorized. P.S these tips are just average, there are always contradictory examples

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for not knowing the Finnish anthem, because it's also the same melody as the Estonian anthem so it could've been two different countries. But saying Turkey for the Greek anthem is pretty much the number one way to start a war between those two countries. And seeing him guess Uruguay for one before the actual Uruguayan anthem...I felt his pain. I hope Jack knows the reason they have the same instruments is because these instrumental versions were pretty much all done (except the North Korea one) by the US Navy Band. These anthems aren't done by the bands of their own countries. Speaking of the Greek anthem: Here's some interesting facts about it! It is the anthem of both Greece AND the Republic of Cyprus! It is also the longest national anthem in the world by length of text. Only the first two stanzas were adopted officially, but the total amount of stanzas is *ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY EIGHT!*
New Zealand legally has two anthems (only one other nation has two anthems of equal status: Denmark), God Defend New Zealand and God Save the King. But God Defend New Zealand is used commonly to represent the nation (while God Save the King is used for the governor-general or when a royal is present). It was originally written as a poem, but it was set to music in 1876. Its popularity grew and it became a second anthem in 1977. The anthem has five verses, each in English and Māori. The Māori version is not a direct translation. Usually, the way the anthem is performed in public is the first verse is sung twice, first in Māori and then in English. That aside...can't believe you didn't guess the beautiful anthem of our glorious nation. And I thought you were MY friend! I don't think I'll be able to recover from this betrayal.
I saw part one of this yesterday and actually enjoyed it. I was gonna subscribe but passed out after drinking with my mates haha. Couldn’t find your channel again until now and instantly remembered to subscribe! I love the videos you make, and seeing you happy makes me happy too 😊
0:39 : I got really disappointed when he said that😭 Lyrics Bayang magiliw Perlas ng silanganan Alab ng puso sa dibdib mo'y buhay Lupang Hinirang, duyan ka ng magiting Sa manlulupig, di ka pasisiil Sa dagat at bundok na simoy At sa langit mong bughaw Tagumpay na nagnininging Ang bituin at araw niyan Kailan pa ma'y di magdidilim Lupa ng araw ng luwalhati't pagsinta Buhay ay langit sa piling mo Aming ligaya nang pag may mang-aapi Ang mamatay ng dahil sa iyo.
The national anthem of North Korea and South Korea shares the same name "Aegukka" (Song of Patriotism). This is because both of the lyrics were from the patriotic poets in the time during the Japanese invasion.
You definitely did a better job than me, Jack. I almost didn't get my country's anthem and at first said it was the EU's, not Czech Republic's. I didn't even get Slovakia. T-T
Thank you so much jack for supporting croatia and maybe thats your favorite country in this video and im from croatia too so your my favorite youtuber for me I subrscibed you
I only got three this time 😐 The reason they're composed for traditional orchestral instruments is so that the military bands of host nations can play the anthem of the visiting heads of state. If they used exotic instruments it would cause diplomatic incidents when the band plays it wrong! It's usually the lyrics that are the important and distinguishing feature anyway. A tip for learning the anthems is just to memorize them by watching a lot of sporting events like the Olympics, some countries will become very familiar quickly.
The fact that Estonia and Finland have the same anthem with different words is just crazy to think, im from estonia myself and was so hyped to hear my anthem and then it shows finlands flag lol
Yey, I got right both Czech Republic and Slovakia. Well I am from Czech Republic so otherwise it would be a total shame but what is interesting about it, we are teaching here kids both Czech and Slovak national anthem even 30 years after our separation.
* my National Anthem starts playing * Jack: Oh, Christmas song * Slovak National Anthem starts playing * Jack: Christmas song Make again Czechoslovakia National Anthem and Jack will get his full Christmas song
(2:00) I would assume these are pulled from Wikipedia, and they are composed by the sheet music using the same instruments for all countries, making it neutral. For example, they wouldn't use a shamisen for Japan, because that might be considered insensitive and insulting. But the usage of these instruments might also be considered Eurocentric, so there's that too.
Got Czechia bcs i live here, Slovakia bcs we were one country before and the anthem was mixed, Croatia, Kenya just guessed and knew Finland bcs i heard it multiple times when they won the hockey championship
Jack when he says "this sounds similar to Austria so let's go somewhere similar" when it's New Zealand Gotta be the furthest country away from Austria...
Fun Fact If you would have said Estonia on the Finnish one it would count aswell cuz the Finnish and Estonian anthems music is the same but the words are different
No joke the instance he started the video i took like a split second before starting to sing and im watching this the day before our natinal day HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMOROW🇳🇴
I cant seem to remember but if so they were played by the usmc band? i could remember browsing on wikipedias UAEAF page for a but and decided to go to the UAE's wiki page for a bit and listened to its anthem which had the description of " the United arab emirates national anthem played by the usmc band" (if not then correct me and if not a band then correct me)

It kinda cut off in the middle of the line The Norwegian anthem is awesome, I recommend to give it a listen. It's name is "Ja vi elsker" meaning "yes, we love"
7:24 when I started hearing the national anthem, I said “I bet you my life it’s Finland’s national anthem”. And it was Finland’s national anthem! I had been waiting for Finland’s national anthem ever since the first one. (I’m Finnish tho, Moi! Vastaa jos ymmärrät! Toivottavasti on ainakin yks eri Suomalainen kun mä. Heippa!)
