i could genuinely listen to riley and graydon talk about movies forever, y’all need a podcast or some other longer form media. hopefully not an unsolved mystery podcast, otherwise you might come across the string of murders 45 min outside of Toronto in 1973 that i absolutely was not responsible for
i actually did a long rant about how it could be nicholas cage and graydon shut me down (had to cut some of that part because we talked about standard deviations for so long)
the Truman Show was directed by Peter Weir, who also did Dead Poets Society. that range and clear talent is insane, yet not a lot of people really know him
Graydon seems like a great guy to just chat about movies, music, and life with. Love his taste, and he always talks in such a non-pretentious way. we need more dudes like that
"Can he swing from a web? No he can't, he's a pig. Look out he is a spider pig" is printed on my brain from how hard that Simpsons Movie marketing hit.
@@HotStrange yesss, score is class! I don’t watch a lot of Hollywood stuff anymore, but I could watch The Truman Show once a month honestly. It’s not subtle by any means, but it works really well. Such a satisfying watch.
@@benjadamon agreed. I watch about once or twice a year. Sometimes more. What made are you into these days? I’m mostly a horror guy. Nice Burial pic btw.
@@HotStrange thanks man! I watch a lot of different stuff, my favorite directors are probably Wong Kar-Wai and Abbas Kiarostami, really grown to appreciate and love films from Asia especially
I decided to look through Rotten tomatoes and I found out that Pamela Anderson has a 100% and a 0% for critic ratings (Edit) the movies are “Pamela, a Love Story” and “The Institute”
okay so 100% for Pinnochio isn't that all critics think it's 100% perfect, it's that 100% of critics gave it a positive review, which could be any degree of good to amazing. Rotten Tomatoes isn't an average score, it's more of what percent of critics would recommend the movie.
I’m high watching this video and the part where they talked about how being high can ruin your life and everyone knows your high really freaked me out. It felt like they were talking directly to me…
Swingers is an 87% and that is actually insane. That is the closest guess other than Don't Worry Darling so far this video, and it wasn't even an actual guess it was just in the banter.
He said silence my cell phone now I’m just watching this video with no sound on my phone….. so idk what’s going on but I love the faces they’re making 😂😂😂
Leonardo Di Caprios acting in Shutter Island is really fucking good so even if you kinda know the twist its a GREAT watch if you ask me. Also the amount of details hidden makes it fun to watch again
To make the 38% thing even crazier for me at least is that at dinner, maybe 30 minutes before watching this video, I was talking to my dad about that movie and searched up the rating
Surprised you guys didn't include Dignan's movie - 'The Marino Boys' - released in 2022, starring himself (as himself) and Dan Marino as his miniature land-dolphin sidekick that throws boomerangs. The critic score was obviously 0%, possibly due to the scene where the dynamic duo crashes a wedding, setting loose 12 white-headed Nicaraguan capuchin monkeys which tore the bridal party into little bite sized pieces. Mrs. Marino loved it though, hence the 100% audience score
Looked it up and Olivia Wilde’s movie appearances range from 13%-96% on the tomato meter and now I’m determined to find someone with a more drastic range
17:05 remember that rt isnt a quality score, it’s the average of how many crotics gave it a positive score, so a 4/5 or a 7 or 8/10 are still positive, the 100% just means every critic review is positive
11:19 Vince Vaughn was in "Into the Wild" which got an 83% (should be higher) on Rotten Tomato!! His character was great in the film, and it was really fascinating to see him in a more serious role.
also, they started talking about the pacific northwest filter and I just wanted to say that everything just kinda looks like that in western Washington
Charlize Theron has an incredible range of rotten tomato scores, and they came out 1 year apart. Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) has a 97% and The Last Face (2016) has a 8%.
these are some of my fave vids ever, the spiderpig one liner was perfect. next time you do this, could you perhaps put up the movie poster for a second when you say the name of the film? i usually know most of the movies, but sometimes I have to look up what it looks like to remind myself. only a suggestion! otherwise perfect vid plsss do more
11:12 Al Pacino is a really good person to bring up, considering he was in Jack and Jill, which has 3% on Rotten Tomatoes. His highest rated movie is Salomé, with a perfect 100% rating
I know Tim Allen has a 100% with the Toy Story movies and a 4% with Zoom. Someone has to have a 100-0 split, I know John Travolta's been in like 10 different 0% movies.
The highest standard deviation rotten tomatoes thing is interesting, because I just recently looked and saw that that one horrible Adam Sandler movie with like 1% Rotten Tomatoes, Jack and Jill, has Al Pacino in it. And I don’t know if he’s been in a 100% movie, but he might be up there in terms of highest standard deviation.
no way that so many good movies were mentioned. shout out for the point break/keanu reference. they surf a lot in the movie, and point break is a reference to (essentially) when the waves crash against the rocks as they reach the shore.
sean bean must have the highest standard deviation that man was in lord of the rings and Jupiter ascending also vince vaughn was in Hacksaw ridge which kicks ass and then ya know...the rest of his filmography
Adam Sandler has to be high on the standard deviation chart. Uncut Gems is 91% and Jack And Jill is 3% I think Henry Foda is the highest as he's been in 12 Angry Men (100%) and Tentacles (0%)
