I am not so sure but i remember learning about the pumpkin and melon thing is science class, where when you have different members from the gourd family (squash, luffa, pumpkin...) in the same area of land makes them areate the soil better and speeds up the growth rate of those plants by a notch, i think it's a cool detail ngl

Ore class was nice! I wish vault hunters had a mod book that told you about a lot of the aspects of the mod. I feel like I have mostly learned how to play through watching streams but I guess not everyone does that

I started playing VH 1.18 the other day, totally found one of those Mega Villages early on day 1... FIFTEEN golden apples, FIFTEEN!!! I was blown away! Plus I also got a full set of iron armor and a ton of other goodies... those Mega Villages are amazing, I just wish they didn't generate so cursed so frequently, the church was hanging 99% off a cliff... xD

As soon as Iskall started talking about the gems my notebook came out..lol ^^ (I just started getting into Vault Hunters and it has been fantastic! Thank you Iskall and your dev team for making such an awesome game/mod!)

Btw, because I saw some of the SMP vods, the lowest price for mending is 10 emeralds, not 5, because it is considered a treasure enchantment (cannot get it in an enchantment table) so the minimum is doubled.

Iskall I found a Duplication glitch. Using a afterlife or a level 9 (or lower) vault crystal. You can toss items to a friend, then they leave and you unalive yourself. Which resets your inventory to what you went into the vault with, but your friend will keep the items as well

You should find or make some bundles for when you're exploring or in vaults as it helps me alot and I've noticed you keep getting unfilled stacks, they'll be power crept later but early game they're useful!

I am loving the new version of VH. Utterly brilliant. Not as grindy as the previous and love the fact we have beginners grace as I am dying loads!! 😂

One of my vaults also had a mine room as the first room and it had 2 echo ores, and I think I got like 6 total gems! The fortune gods blessed me

My best find has been a shop pedestal room (idk what it's called) and I got the sockets for shoveling, axing, and Hammering!!! It is sooo good! Edit: actually the best would be a triple jump vault trinket!!! Also there is a big where the trinket isnt breaking and it is so fun!

I found one of those villages while looking for Beetroot as you do. Although it was my first village and almost 3k blocks away

I encountered one of these on my way to search for a lush cave. Found 2 bundles, and also a tonne of emeralds. They are genuinely "Mega"

I got the mine room once, and had only 10 mins left. But i have great luck to get challenge rooms as my first room multiple times. It's painful... One vault, i ran towards the first room, and before i went in, a elite skeleton stalks around the corner and kills me. 0 XP, 23 seconds time spent in the vault. You asked for a fun way to get potion effects, here is one I think could work, A item to give potion effects in the vault could be along the lines of Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series has a character that can spend time being super weak so that later he can have a lot of strength, this could be a cool way to get effects in the vault, spend time in a vault with self weakness to get strength later, and things like this for the other potions as well.

Not a VOD watcher, but I definitely went to subscribe anyway! Who knows, maybe I'll watch one eventually.

I personally don't watch the vods over there but I liked a bunch of the videos and subscribed because all the profit go to the vault hunters devs and the people who help make vault hunters and the people who continue to work on it to make people happy.

I got an omega paint room as my first room in a recent vault, i was shaking from excitement and got so much good loot!!

Hey iskall, I wanted to say I love VH 1.18, I played the last version but found constant mobs stressful. I love exploring the rooms and coming up with strategies on how to approach POIs, and I love mob free omega rooms! Found a castle early on that suited me all up in vault gear. I think navigating with block markers works well early game at least while you're slow. I considered casual mode cause I play alone and I don't want to get demoralized but I resisted and kept my spirits up even when a creeper snuck up on me and killed me at lvl 10. Dropping down on POIs is dangerous. Great job on vh and I'm looking forward to all the future updates! PS your temple base looks cool

At like level 2 or so I got a crystal that had it's first room as some kind of factory (lots of black/yellow striped blocks). It was an absolutely nightmare just to get through that first room, so many freaking spawns completely overwhelmed me. Almost died going in, almost died when leaving.

This looks like an amazing mod i'll be installing it immediately :)

They grow quicker because pumpkins are less likely to grow next to an ungrown pumpkin stem when melon stems are half the stems nearby. When that happens, the ungrown stem attaches to the pumpkin from 2 stems, meaning 1 less stem that can grow pumpkins.

I just downloaded this modpack and since I'm not terribly familiar with any mods, I'm just taking some time to explore the overworld and decoration mods before I do much else... which has lead to one dumb question: how do you get the green azalea logs in a renewable sense? I thought at first that getting the pink or green logs maybe depended on which azalea bush you grew, but both bushes produce the pink and flowering woods, and biome temp makes no difference either, so I'm out of decent ideas. Also there appears to be some weird things going on with the use of scaffolding. If I try to use it to place a block on the side or above it, the block replaces the bottom scaffolding block... which is perhaps some mod feature, but I shouldn't lose the scaffolding when it does that! Scaffolding is so useful when building in vanilla as a temporary block, but it's kind of a pain in this modpack.
