I was about to say the same thing. Africans told Europe where and how and helped them out for "treasures". It was like an easter egg hunt for toddlers. Like playing fnaf with a hacked map and infinite power.

The reason was that the Europeans were selling goods to Africa, Africa at this time was ritualistic, meaning they would sell their own people out either for goods or sacrifices to other empires or tribes, and to false gods, and a false god is just a demon that has power, similar to the golden calf which was meant for Baphomet the goat Demon, the empires on Africa were not good, they often did these actions against their people so when a guy comes sailing from the north with goods that don't exist in Africa, they sell out their people to the New World(America), They did it with other empires within Africa aswell meaning they were already selling out their people long before the Europeans caught on, this is what most people skip over.

Plus, there were so many diseases that white people had no immunities for that they would die from sickness long before being able to carry out slave raids. Assuming the local African king didn't catch them for slave poaching.
