Yoooooo!!!! Good ole TWO NINE!!! 🫡 no one knows about them rain storms like ppl who have actually been there and driven through them lmfao 🤣 when it’s cold there it’s FREEZING! When it’s hot brother it’s HOT!!!! Lol spent a few years out there
Don’t baby the relearn drive it normal. From what I’ve been told and I’ve had no issues I stayed in 35-40% throttle for the first 500 mile “relearn” 68’s constantly adjust on the way you drive
Welcome back cam! Glad you like the trans. I love mine but get rid of DDC tunes bro. I have. A Randy’s stage 3 and they won’t even warranty with those tunes
68’s built are pretty decent I beat on mine when I drive it and she eats it like no other no shift flares or problems. And I’m only on 180 psi line pressure 😂 and I’m almost a year in with a 467 2nd gen swap she’s happy very happy 👌
I'm sure it's more of the compressor fan side. Since my coolant temp will get up 220 before the fan permanently locks up then it will attempt to start cooling down. All during that time the ac can't get cold since the fan isn't pulling air hard
Truck looks great. Maybe I missed it but you never actually said what happened to your transmission only that you had it rebuilt. Unless I missed it. ✌🏽
Welcome back battle. Glad you got videos going again. We missed ya. If you got any questions about Carli from a customer perspective hmu I'll give ya my honest opinion.
Cam, Glad your back & doing well. Was actually praying for you & your safety. Nice to know you're okay. looking forward to you doing the intercooler. wanting to get one but want to see how you like the Smed. D. Keep them rolling.
Mind as well do the hubs while your replacing those ball joints too. Carli 2.0 fox shocks are tuned for these trucks and ride pretty good. I got a 6" set from CJC
Had the exact same issue with the fan clutch. Replacement #1 failed and clicked on and off. Similar issues to factory unit. #2 worked for a bit. Left our ranch in Fort Worth, drove to Oklahoma City with no issue. Left and went to Houston. 20 min from Houston the clutch went into full lock. Swap #3 resolved the issues. When the MAF or MAP sensors go bad, buy the Continental factory brand. If not you will chase issues for days. I used 4 brands to see if one would qualify, and had zero luck.
I only run factory installed equipment. Learned that a long time ago with Dodge products. Friend of mine is an ex diesel mechanic from Dodge and he recommended to use the same as from factory.
If you have a 68rfe going out or needing it rebuilt forget adding all this extra stuff and waiting on these transmission shops to hustle you. Just go online to street smart transmission out of Florida. They send it to the shop and the shop just swap it out and it comes with a unlimited mile warranty. Yes unlimited so that means it's better than any other tranny a shop can get you with all those parts and warranty covers the tranny and labor so it's the best option in my opinion.
From what I just looked up. They don't offer anything better than a stock replacement. Stock is shit. 165k miles he said? Come on.... he has added power. If you gunna replace it. Might as well replace it with parts that the extra power can hold. The stock 68rfe internals are literally only rated factory specs of truck output!
