@@afeminame omg yeeees!!! she pop out of no where and they be like "how the heck did you get out you little stinker!!! XD then when she got too big she couldn't fit through the bars and she'd bleat and bleat lmao that was waaaay too cute lmao
Love the drone footage. Derek’s jingles are awesome. He has a lot of neat wit. Such a good father and husband. Lodi is a little diva. Hope all goes well with the deliveries. Great video as always. ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Crystal, I know your back must ache after wrangling fur babies all day. I admire your work ethics.🌻 The crazies all seem to be built thick bodied with short legs. They look really strong. I’m excited about all the babies arriving soon. They are always so sweet👍🏻💕🌻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Cant wait for the babies. And its getting close 😁 So excited for Lodi, Maybelline and Dreamers kids. The 2 crazies that aren't pregnant id either try to breed them one more time or get rid of them.
I love hearing the birds in the background!! I can’t wait to hear that again! They don’t like the negative temps here right now. Did you buy or make your stand? I love it!
Our first timer full bred tri color Alpine doe is due in 4 weeks, and out boar/saanen is due in about a month, she is acutely due on easter, so exited. We raise pack goats! ❤️❤️
Oh gosh. Dreamer was NOT having it on that stand! WOW! 😍😍 Seeing Maybelline and Dreamer from the front, their fur is so short and they look so good! I'm ready for these goats to be shaved😂 Gonna be a lot of work though!
That’s so disappointing about Nova! I’m hoping for at least a little single for you guys. Maybe Merle was more successful the second heat cycle? Anyways, I’m literally counting down the days until babies! So exciting 😁😁 hoping for lots of does!
Most of the does stand so still while you check for babies. When you talk to them, they look back at you so sweetly. The tongue flap is too funny. Some are so dramatic. Derek is really good with the hook. I doubt the "crazies" will ever settle down. Will you consider getting rid of them if they aren't bred?
They might even cull, vs sell/give away. Cause they put all the work and food into those does for a 1.5and not to be bred and earning there kepp is hard on them. So I think they may consider culling the three. Or giving them one last shot next season to get bred.
Considering Anna got 2 breeding seasons before being sent to freezer camp, these ladies have only been on the farm since last year or very late the year before, I'd bet there's no decisions that way until a 2nd failed breeding year.
@@thamaramartin2393 I do want to point out cull doesn't necessarily mean kill, It just means removing or segregating from the breeding stock. so getting rid of them also means culling them.
@@thamaramartin2393 I hope they do as well, I agree with another commenter maybe would be a good idea to pen up the tubby ones this next year and put them on a special diet and maybe do something to exercise them a bit
I was testing myself with the girls names and I got most of them right 😉. I'm excited to see all the babies but especially Lodi ( just cos she's princess Lodi who should be running Canada for us 😘😂) and Roxy because she is so very pretty (soft spot for her) Sending good vibes through kidding season that all deliveries go well and all moms and babies are healthy and trouble free. Also sending good thoughts of you goat fam, that you all get enough sleep 💓💓 rest up now. Much love
Aaahhhh I’m so excited for Lodi! I’m crying with joy that’s she’s gonna be a mama! She’s my favourite goat! Edit: I noticed your shirt too crystal it’s great!
You said that some people don’t like Lodi and I was shocked! I love her! It never dawned on me that others might think she was mean. LoL that girl is full of sass! She is the toddler running around with a tutu and tiara and mud on her face. 😆💖
I love Lodi's spunk...Maybelline is such a show stopper.. I can't wait for kids on the ground, I still watch your Emily (I have one also) running in the baby pen.
Lodi is my favorite I wish you guy's had some merch staring Lodi I'd buy for sure. Love that little fire cracker. Please give her a treat from all her fans in Australia.
Another wonderful vlog will you keep the babies that you don’t sell? They are all so adorable can’t wait to see the babies!!! Have a great day Love you guys ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Everyone is so excited for Lodi but my queen is Mayo I love her. Idk why but I’m always drawn to her. I hope to get a kid from her one day. Love your videos and always look forward in them
Bummer on the 2! I have a doe I acquired this past summer who is 4 never been bred...same issue cannot get her bred! And after her standing heats she acts extremely bucky. Its the weirdest thing. Love Derek's song! Lol!!!
It is so helpful ☺ 😌 😊 when you talk about each of the features that make each baby i mean goat 🐐 😏 special. Questions: can the bunting that they do to each other cause them to absorb the babies in the early stages of pregnancy.? ❓
Have you considered getting a portable ultrasound machine just to get a closer check for those does who give you a little more hassle? With the number of breeding does you keep regularly having to pay a vet to check them would be quite costly I imagine, but I could see having your own pay itself off in one season, maybe 2.
one more Q. So the 2 Crazies that didn't breed, will you try again off your routine cycle or will you just put her up for sale? And no, I am not able to take a goat that needs work in my backyard. Just curious.
It's funny how they stop eating when you feel for the babies omg I'm laughing historical because of hearing the chickens🐔in the back. I love your shirt SO YOU!!!! 😁😍grrr. I just get into watching and listening to you and a ad pops up but that's okay I watch them and wait. I love Lodi she's definatly a spitfire!!! it's a good thing she doesn't let others pick on her a baby!!! From Lodi yeah!!!! Can't wait till see her baby. Wow!!maybeline She looks like she's going to pop out a dozen or two lol🙄do they all have black tongues?? Oh no i just saw dreamers tongue its pink,Dreamer gave you a hard time getting up there. She is very pretty. What a booger. Spreading her legs not wanting to get on the table. So funny. Derek too funny!!! Oh wow her birthday is April 16th mine is on the 15th who's yelling to have Roxy not leave the pen?? Watching from above gives a whole new prospective of what you guys do to round the goats up and get one at a time it's looks chaotic. 😊😉that big hook comes in handy when you need to get them. (Aww I would love to see what kind of mom nova would be) ruby she's very vocal!! Omg I remember watching a sneering smirking snaggletooth cartoon ha!!
I'm almost 59. My grandfather was raised on farms. Sadly he's been gone a good while. My comments concern farm animals in general, not just goats. I know what he would say about the goats that you think are not pregnant. Yes, ya'll really want all the babies born at the same time. Since they have not had babies before and you don't really know their complete history, those could be some that might do better by trying quickly again. Pin them up with your most persistent buck now. Sometimes you come across some that breed better at odd times of the year. Kind of like a chicken that wants to sit on eggs at the wrong time. I'm not trying to be a know it all. I'm just making a suggestion. I can't wait for the babies to come ! Love all of ya'lls videos !
If she breeds some of them early then the next year they can't get back on track with the other goats because they can not be bred again too soon after giving birth. So those does will be continuously off schedule.
@@theshinythings123 yes, that's true on their breeding schedule. Some farms do have births at different times of the year. It would be what ever each farmer decided to do.😃
I don't know who is behind the camera, but Crystal, you need to have a bit more help getting those does on the stand! Not criticizing...just saying you are working too hard, girl. I did plenty of lifting, etc. 50# feed bags and so on. Then I started having problems with my hands. My grip was losing strength. Long story short, it was my spine. I had a fusion but my lifting days are over. My doc said I just 'wore out' some parts/bone. So, do get help or maybe Derek can build you steps for the milk stand...or a ramp. Great video!
Hi there, about the crazies that arent bred would you consider breeding them again like next month ? so the babies would be born right before next breeding season, then sell or cull the two mamas, and keep babies which would be about a year old at 2022 breeding season, so ready to be bred, and the mamas would pay their due dilligence, for all the food that they are eating.
My son watched this video with me today, and every time after giving them the selenium paste and they lick their chops my son would scream "eeeew gross!! They're flapping their tongues and mouths!! " Lol made me laugh so hard. I remember the pregnancy scare with Lodi when she escaped, so I can only imagine the mayhem her kids are going to get into. Hehe
Lots of work! Just had a brain storm watching you working to get some of them girls on the stand. 💡 Take a pallet and stick back 2 legs down into it. Cover remaining slat openings to make a platform.
You know to never say definitely with goats!! They will do something different just to prove you wrong. Moonspots/dappled are different with nubians. Ours are usually white or grey.
Miss Lodi is my very favorite. I can't wait to see what you name her daughter. If I had room for her I would take her in a minute. I'm so glad that she had a baby.
Can you breed your open does now and still be ok or is it due to your schedule for shows ect . It may take a little bit of the pinch of having open does for 2 years . Hope all be well for you all . Best wishes.
Shame about Nova and Nelly 😫 seems like the crazies previous owner didn't really know a lot about goats since none of them were prepared for future breeding.
I mean she said they come from good lines. From the older videos when the crazies were first bought it seems like the previous owner had some tough times and needed to sell all her goats.
You can't prepare a goat for breeding. Some does love the boys while others are harder to breed. It seems the previous owner didnt have time or just didn't want to breed them and thats perfectly ok. I have a doe that doesn't like the boys all too well. Just like people, they each have their preferences and personalities
@@AmbersParaWorld They were not socialized nor were they kept on a proper diet if they were not going to be bred. They were not bred, but fed the same diet which led to them being chunky which led to it being more difficult for them to get pregnant as Crystal explained in the video. There are things the previous owners could have done, but they didn't and now Crystal is left to pick up the slack.
@@MsJazzyRay possibly but she has had them long enough to allow them to get to a healthy weight. Some goats do not want to be handled no matter how much they're socialized. Ive owned goats for over 8 years and I have 2 that don't really like being handled. Both were bottle babies too. Unless you've owned goats and raised them, you wouldn't understand.
I’m so sorry Nova and Nelly didn’t take! I understand what a bummer that can be after waiting so long to expect kids. What do you plan to do with them?
