@@masonkim5552 common miscommunication is throwing a bunch of random fills and playing a rock beat smashing the hell out of your drums is "harder." When in reality staying locked in and pocket (especially for extremely long extended periods of time) takes way more skill. Lol

What do you mean Carter had “more rhythm”? they were both fine rhythmically, the fact that Carter was playing a more standard syncopated beat while Luke was playing fills doesn’t change that
@@brown9671 I mean, Luke didn't do bad. A little practice and it would have sounded great, so he definitely knows what he's doing for the most part, just sloppy. Carter on the other hand played an incredibly difficult groove, and quite well.
Luke is some kind of percussionist cause he can play fast and knows what he’s doing but carter played a legit beat and the followed it up with a fill + it sounded consistent. (Yes I play drums myself)

I don't know the band, don't have a clue. But the way each held their drum sticks, the 2nd and 4th guys hand movements were enough to tell me. What's more interesting is that both are seriously good at keeping time
Luke wanted to show off fills and knows a lot, but an actual drummer like Carter really knows how to get a drummer’s attention: good groove > fast fills

Tbh i would need to know what type of music they play for this video, carter seems super groovy but luke seemed more energetic and powerful, teo distinct types of drumming
Luke is definitely the type of dude who knows a little of all the instruments, and feels comfortable with them. Clearly capable of being a viable drummer in a band setting. But Carter is clearly THE drummer. That groove was SPICY🌶 And it was played with so much finesse, and it looked effortless. You can tell he put thousands of hours into his instrument with a single groove and he didn’t need a long one to prove it.
Luke is like someone who played this instrument before and is happy to do it again but he doesn't know what to do, and carter is literally just chilling and playing in the perfect timing

Definitely Carter. Luke doesn't use the bass drum that much and what he does in the end give me guitarist vibes like the unexpected extra stuff when playing solos HAHAHAHA
Luke plays like he took like 6 months of lessons but drummers know that grooves are way harder then playing fast. In conclusion carter sounds better and more experienced.
