I used the Horrible Histories monarch song to get that answer, because I knew Elizabeth I was mid 16th century so it was the next monarch that came in order that was in the song, being Charles

Elizabeth did live briefly into the 17th Century. All four of them lived in the 17th Century. Anne and George I both lived most of their lives in the 17th Century, and so the answer could easily have been them if the only information you had was the order in which they reigned.

@@bobbobson6311 Except that Charles was the only one who was imprisoned. George had not ever set foot in Britain before he became king in 1714. If she had gone 50 50 first, and then asked Jeremy they may have figured it out

I got the answer by process of elimination because I could be wrong (American here) but I think Charles 1 was the only one of those who was imprisoned.

There was one instance where he was certain he knew the answer, but both Jeremy and the contestant were wrong. They both thought an ibex was a type of deer, when in fact it turned out to be a goat. The contestant left with only £1,000 as a result.

It's always worth it to guess there. Think about it this way: Would you pick 64.000 for sure, or have a 50% chance on 125.000 and 50% chance on 32.000? Edit: And if you were to quess the question right, you even get to see the next question aswell.

@@dathan8644 Well, I can conclude from this that you are risk averse. Obviously it has a lot to do with personal preference, but it's most logical to choose for guessing, since your expected value is a lot higher.
@Hero59469
@Hero59469 5 лет назад
@@dathan8644 Your reasoning makes no sence. In your theory you would also pick the 64.000 if you could get a 50% chance on a million and 50% on 32.000. You obviously have to take the numbers into account.

@@dathan8644 Technically you don't even lose the money. You're in for practically free and the money you gain throughout the show is only money you could get. Even if you choose the wrong answer you go down a checkpoint and get the money from there. Its still only positive money for you. When you enter, you either win money or you go home with empty hands but you'll never lose money. Of course depending on your situation, taking the money would be wiser than a sole guess. I wouldn't risk the chance of winning hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Increasing your odds from 25% to 50%, I would've guessed, thankfully she would've been wrong
