If ur from England ur the country tht made the word soccer so don’t get mad at us for using it yall fucked up and called rugby the same thing as it for years before y’all started saying rugby we just adopted the word soccer so we wouldn’t get confused w one of 2 sports makes sense
@@declanslakey1613 you know how thought, though, and trough work right? (pronounce that ones correct brotha) Yea no problem yall dont know this thing ( á, é, í, ó, ú)
For those of you who dont know Romário, he is one of The best Brazilian players of all time. For some he is even better than Ronaldo Fenômeno. (I'm Brazilian)
its good that you guys are doing football (soccer) content because its always nice to see people getting out of their zone to learn and talk about new things, props to you guys! 🎉
Ye it's good but I'm sure they forgot that it's called football and how to pronounce names correctly. Like I sometimes forget what American football is called so I call it rip off rugby.
@@jackfelton9569 I'm pretty sure they know everyone (except Americans) calls it football, they just call it soccer because that's how it is in the US. I dislike the term 'soccer' as well but what can we do?
@@iguinbraboI don't understand the beef people have with the word. Wasn't it called soccer before it was called football? Different countries have different words. It isn't a big deal. I'm not American btw, I just think the debate over the word is stupid.
It’s surprisingly difficult to make a top 5 like this, because different sources will argue the validity of a players goals differently (such as those in club friendlies, between seasons etc.), it’s also harder to track some of the much older players and their records and the line has to be drawn somewhere as to the level at which the goals have to be scored (like you can’t really include goals from an amateur, 6th division side from Cuba)
@@redchampion again it really depends on the criteria you use, because by including all the goals pele scored in club friendlies, you also allow all the other club friendlies goals which I’m sure would allow many players to be in contention (especially amateur players who have stats we can’t even access)
@@redchampion pelé isnt number 1, but he has way more oficial goals than Cristiano Ronaldo. CR7 isnt the biggest scorer of the world, he isnt even the biggest scorer of Portugal, that's Eusébio and all with oficial goals. This list is shit
It's both football and soccer. Majority of the world knows it as football, but in the U.S they refer to it as soccer because they have their own version of football (American Football). **It is played by hand and closer to rugby, but that's besides the main point**
@Anonymous Ah yes, handegg. That's why basketball is also known as handsphere, hockey is known as stickpuck, rugby is known as throwoval, baseball is known as hitsphere, tennis is known as racquetball and etc. then right? If all sports were named based on the part of the body used and the shape of the object then you know all those sports by the names I mentioned then right?
RIP king of football Pelè scoring 1,279 goals winning 3 world cups for brazil first ever to win 3 in a row he's the fucking legend fly high Pelè❤ we all miss you Legend/King
I find it so funny that people get so butthurt about people calling it Soccer. Things have different names in different places, grow up already edit: And just like clockwork there's butthurt people in the replies 💀
@@doogsniffedcocaine this is exactly his point. @@celtic69 these two are more stupid than a toddler💀 Puskas scored more goals than pele and I dont know what 2013 list tney pulled this is inaccurate thanks for telling
Na man, you didn't hear? Pele had over 15 hundred, he scored many goals in Brazil, santos, New York, his backyard. ... hell he scored 500 in his backyard alone!!
@@dontputmeintimeout2416 except Pele actually should be credited as the all time top scorer. So called 'friendlies' were mostly all European clubs including prime Madrid, benefica etc. trying to beat the best player in the world and his team. The Brazilian 🐐 and easily second best of all time
Well yes, the Top 5 all time goal scorers is kinda easy for football fans, maybe not all but most would know. I know him, but I forgot he scored that many, I was thinking of Puskás, who actually scored 806 official goals and should be number 4 if we only consider official goals neither Messi nor Pelé hava that many, even though there's an argument to be made for Pelé where he scored like 141 goals if I remember correctly or still something around that number against top European clubs in what's considered friendlies but actually those match were taken as seriously as any important match therefore very competitive, which would put him at the top or second, don't know
@@FireAttack0811 those were international goals that are not officially counted due to the fact there were no cameras to film them with so they were written on paper.
I find it funny how these European babies get mad when someone says soccer. Wake up and smell the coffee, there are different names for things in different places, America is not the same as England and they have no obligation to use Englands terms. If they want to call it soccer, I say that they absolutely have the right to do that. You don't see Americans getting mad at Brits for calling elevators "LiFtS"
Homie in international goals not. In club goals he is not even close to their greatness as we gotta say he is a shit player compared any European player
This is probably the only list that could be debatable despite stats being facts, since football has been around for so long and before people archived and kept up with stats like in modernity, especially, and in most cases, outside the biggest European Leagues. Cristiano and Messi both have officially scored all those goals but for the rest it's actually debatable. Josef Bican's tally of 805 wasn't officially recognized by FIFA I believe, until recently. Pelé claims to have scored 1284 goals, but half of those came from friendly non-competitive games, so the official number for him is 769. Romario on the other hand, official tally stands at 745, although FIFA recognizes 929, but with a bunch of those extra, coming from friendlies and youth leagues/tournaments; he claims to have scored 1002 goals though.
According to the football (soccer) historians, a German player named Erwin Helmchen was the most prolific goalscorer in recorded history with at least 987 goals scored in 577 matches.
@@clbl He is. Goals don't mean you are the GOAT. If you watched football, goals aren't the only thing part of the game nor a player's attribute. A player can be a GOAT in a multiple of various positions.
In 1994 FIFA wanted to inspire a generation of fans in America by letting them host the world cup. Brazil won the world cup and Romario was their best player. 30 years later...

First of all. If you don’t count the penalti goals, Messi has more than Ronaldo. Also, Messi has more percentage of goals per game. Ronaldo has the most amount of goals, but he is also the player with the highest amount of games in that list (1155).
