Today we are continuing work on the Guest Bedroom Makeover! In last weeks video we finished the painting, wallpaper and piping detail, and in today's video we are adding all the finishing touches. I also share how I created a 13 foot long wall length headboard that really gives the feel of a boutique hotel!

@@mala890 It was the wallpaper for me. I weirdly begin to see the pattern sort od slanting sideways if I look at it for too long and it weirdly makes me motion sick 😂. The design is indeed very much...old. But, it works with everything else he's done. Goes to show how important even the little elements can be to tie a room together.

Okay, I have to admit....I hated almost every item in this room individually, aside from the dresser, the chandelier and the curtain rods. I was questioning every choice you made. Then the reveal came and my mind was absolutely blown by how well everything worked together. The room looks incredible and inviting, and your vision really sings in this room. I was actually gobsmacked by how much I liked it. So, I'm here to say I was so wrong. This is why I'm not a designer, because never in a million years could I have envisioned such a room. So well done! Your guests are so very lucky.

It's on the piss above the 'headboard'. Wallpaper is not easy,having done this myself since the late 1950's... Painting is easier and a lot less time consuming and a cheaper option.😊

The piping was a little strange for me too. Maybe just me, but if I was going to do the piping I think maybe a cream color would have been more harmonious.

Holy macaroni! That substantial (and beautiful) Eastlake dresser against the sweet, dainty wallpaper...chef's kiss! The built-in headboard, neutral textiles, bone lampshade, perfect chair/hooks/mirror...I'm on a visual high. Bravo, Drew and Co.!

Being born in 1944, I can tell you that 1943 was not frilly. We were at the tail end of WWII. People used inherited pieces, loved wallpaper and these colors were definitely part of that era. In a room like this you felt safe and solid.

Wow, just wow! This room reminds me of my grandmother’s sewing basket!! I would love to see the ceiling done in a rich chocolate velvet materia! It’s the dark of the wood that needs to married to the walls and ceilings. Pull out the depth of the room, the rounded corners, by going dark on the ceiling. 🌞🌻🌻🌻🌻

Stunning. Takes me back to when I stayed at my grandparent’s house many years ago. Her wallpaper was lemon trellis with flowers all over it plus a washstand with a marble top. Also, a porcelain pot ( if you wanted to pass water in the night) under the bed. The toilet was outside, down a path in a small shed with NO flushing toilet, only a bench with a bucket underneath….hence the “ potty” underneath the bed.

It feels like you've stepped back in time here to and early 1900s farm house! Something about the East Lake dresser, bedspread, wallpaper and floors, I actually gasped "wow" when I saw it. The light in that room is fantastic and just adds so much to the atmosphere. Really unexpected given the vibe of the rest of the house but you absolutely knocked it out of the park. Kudos to you Drew.

The wallpaper is driving me crazy it looks crooked, or like off on a diagonal , let’s hope it’s just camera distortion I cant imagine you’d deal with it crooked. I think this one isn’t my taste but I LOVE your other rooms!

It’s crooked. You can see it against the long top of the headboard. I have to assume the floor/ceiling is crooked and they had to line it up with them somehow. A strong geometric pattern is hard to reconcile in a crooked room. I’d have used an all-over pattern instead, but Drew probably didn’t know how crooked until he started putting up the paper and then he was committed.

Such a lovely guest room! It's so serene and calming to look at. I know any guest who stays in this room will have a great experience. I love the thought you put into your guest's needs like the chair and the coat rack. That dresser is just amazing too! Gorgeous. Those curtain rods are an outstanding find and such a perfect bit of jewelry for the room along with that unique chandelier. As always, you have brought so much depth of textures and pattern and colour into the space in such a harmonious way. It’s a nod to the past but very fresh and up to date. Love that you took on something different for the guest room. But it’s still in keeping with the rest of the house. I love it ❤
