I saw several injuries when I worked at the parks, some of which were rather common. How common were injuries as a whole? How serious? What were the most common ones? And is there a way to prevent them?
A behind the scenes look at what a former worker at Disney World, Silver Dollar City, and Busch Gardens Florida experienced in his time working at the parks. From driving large safari trucks around live wild animals while cracking one silly joke after another, to spending 5 years as a #PhotoPass photographer at #WaltDisneyWorld and seeing and experiencing all sorts of things, to being a conductor and #trainrobber on the famous Frisco Silver Dollar Line at #SilverDollarCity. With 10 years of working in the parks, there's lots of stories to tell. Here is some of them...
Not only did I work in theme parks for 10 years, I've visited a whole lot of them as well. Here's some stories of great visits, not so great visits, favorites, reviews, and much more.

What a great video! I love your point that most people get hurt because they don't listen. Most accidents are avoidable if people just use their brains.

I found a pin with your logo at a thrift store today and was wondering what it was for but I bought it anyway because it was cool looking lol. You seem like a wonderful person and I'm glad I have that energy in my house now 😊

you found one of my pins at a thrift store? That's fascinating. Where was the thrift store at? I'm wondering how it got there now.

That’s why I love SDC’s policy on safety: SAFETY IS NON-NEGOTIABLE!!

Have you read the book people vs. Disneyland? This book is about exactly what you’re talking about. The author is David Koenig.

When I was in EPCOT waiting for Mulan (I think) There was a familiy who let theyre kids both sit on and get under the safety rails that was gusrding the flower plantage and I just wanted to say how dumb it was to them. We had a terrible roller coaster accident last year here that was totaly due to mechsnical issues after a repair of the rolller coaster and it killed ond (or two) and hurted several people. But I give you its rare, much like plane chrashes. Do you mean that peole never trip, fall or slip in the parks thats not theyre own fault? I can feel it must be quite common to slip on wet mud or slippery stones and such. Specially when youre brains are tired after a long day in the park, or when it get dark in the evening. But yea, please learn how to handle strollers and scooters.

I like your videos. It is a year that the citizen of sdc got killed while testing the ride. Also the train at sdc 2 accidents.

I heard that somebody got killed on the original fire in the hole when the car went into an area it wasn't supposed to.

At LEAST three times in a shift someone just has to stand up on Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway (Disneyland). I hear announcements on the PA all time for this. Depending on the situation, the operations cast members will have to stop motion because of this.

They had to close down and dismantle a new roller coaster in an amusement park here in Sweden, after an accident where the train got derailed in 2023, and a person died. The investigation showed that the construction was faulty.

It also depends on the theme park. Im guessing the majority of injured patrons at Action Park were following the rules. But, at most reputable parks, not following the rules tends to lead to more injuries.

Common sense, as they say, is not so common. I live in New England in a seaside town that gets a lot of tourism in the summer. Every year, sadly, a tourist drowns because they venture out on slippery rocks to get a better photo and a rogue wave comes in and knocks them off the rocks. Common sense would tell you to respect the ocean, especially when there are posted signs about the danger.

You mean physics exist and things can't immediately stop? Well that's the worst news I'll hear this week.

I have a story about when we went to WDW for the first and only time. I was with my mom and our friend Dee. We were watching the parade at nighttime . It was really crowed ( I'm very short for my age Hobbit sized basically....) and I was stuck right by a guy who kept swinging stroller around and kept almost hitting me in the head with it. Needless to say I wanted to punch that guy. My poor mom and Dee couldn't do anything to help me because they were stuck by other people and couldn't be right beside me.

The biggest disregard for safety is people who can't park in ONE spot with a vehicle that fits IN that spot COMPLETELY. They're asking for a ticket, and possibly a tow. They want their car back after the tow, it'll cost a few HUNDRED to a few THOUSAND dollars.
