Well the mattress folds very easily and closes up .And while the bed is closed you can easily get to your storage (I guess I should do a video on how to close the bed ) but closing and opening is easy and takes just a few minutes. One person can do it. But when the mattress is open as a bed you can't get to the storage unless you flip up the mattress but it is light weight .Hope that answers your question thank you
