Conan shares some footage of guest segments that didn't go so well. Needless to say, they'll never be back on the show. From Late Night, February 20, 1998.
@@gunnaryoung That might be true. But its also very normal. When I was young (genX) I mostly cared about new music and cultural things. So I dont think its strange millennials doesn`t know about older things. Its all good.
@@eltoro969 Yeah, sure bud. Also, I hope you know the oldest millennials are well into their 30s lol, and not teens like I feel you likely want to believe
Its funny how his skits havent changed a bit since the 90's. He still stays true to his show till this day. Conan might be or is the best talk how hosts of all time
I totally agree. Conan is just brilliant at what he does. He has the perfect personality. He's funny enough by himself, without even having anything else. Doesn't even have to really try to be funny.
God! As a teenager back home, I’d sneak out of bed to watch these skits with the volume down, and it was a a torturous good time trying not to laugh loud enough to wake my folks! Oh man! This and late night cinema, good times!
Sucks parents enforce bed times... never was too good at sleeping at night. Not because of the dark but because I tend to be more thoughtful at not, writing and such.
People were more uptight then... Most of this sort of content just left mainstream TV because it was less lucrative than the Internet. If anything most content people consume is way more racy and offensive than anything aired in the 90s.
CokeOr Pepsi I don't think this generation is worse/ignorant, just different. Its probably worse in some ways but also maybe getting better in some ways too. I see so much love and kindness at my school. Most everybody at my school are really good and kind people. Sometimes when I'm walking in the hallways other kids will ask me if I'm okay and they care about me even though they don't know me. I think its because I look sad. lol I have so many more examples but I don't feel like typing them because I'm sleepy. xD I just wanted to say that, sorry. ☺
Love the after who impersonated him .he is the same guy that plays bubbles the clown .I hope he makes a reapearance the end of this month for Halloween. If someone ever did a movie on the life of Devine the crossdressing movie star, HE WOULD BE PERFECT! !!
When I first started watching this Video- I thought it would be a real segment showing the Worst Guests Conan ever had. I still think that real segment would make a great segment.
Okay so its not real then.. I'm with you Conan should do a real worst guests ever. That would be so funny throwing all those shitty celebs under the bus 🤣
Jarvbs Jones I am shocked anyone cares about either of these lames enough to be fans lmfaoooo Reminds me of letterman, what an unfunny trash ass show. These late night shoes are simply vehicles to get rich and have regular working hours, nothing impressive in terms of comedy.
@@AyAy008 What's so PC and libtard about that? He's not offended and he didn't even complain about it, he just laughed because he never heard Conan say it before. Stop getting butthurt for no reason.
@@whiteurkel6175 nobody in these comments is offended, you're imagining that people are offended so you can call someone a snowflake and pat yourself on the back. you're playing the victim card like an actual snowflake would.
Oh you guys! Lotsa negative comments below, but I loved this deadpan Conan stuff! Most talk show hosts would have real material for a segment like this, but Conan always made stuff up. He went for the absolutely bizarre (deadpan mode) to trick the people who were expecting another boring segment about... whatever the segment was about. It was a thing he used to do.
1 Sal 1 Ami Pick up the sal with your left hand, holding the flat end medially so that it is facing the right side of your body. Pick up the ami with your right hand and also hold it with the flat end medially, so it is facing your left. Carefully pull both flat ends toward each other until they connect, forming the shape of a salami. Note: You may need to rotate either the sal or the ami in order for the salami to take its proper shape.

Conan was my favorite show back then. I actually remember this episode. He's still hilarious today, but I always forget to watch. Good thing there's always youtube.
Crazy? How dramatic. I see people use it all the time in the real world. I guess if you still watch tons of television and buy into hollywood culture it seems crazy.
Everyone has always said 'retarded'. It was only about 2017 when it became a real, "you absolutely can NEVER say this word" speech policing type thing. Everything was 'retarded'. Your parents won't let you go out tonight? Well, that's retarded. My boss is making me come in 2 hours early tomorrow, it's so retarded. No one got offended because they knew that some words have totally separate meanings depending on the situation. We knew never to actually CALL a disabled person by that label, because that's very hurtful, and any decent person wouldn't. But it was just a part of everyday language that had literally nothing to do with the derogatory term for a disabled person.
And Conan has actually said it many, many times. Like if he asks a question and someone over explains, he would say, "I'm not retarded!" to which everyone would laugh. Now everyone has a stick up their ass and pretty soon the word, "sofa" is gonna offend people and we'll be back to grunting and gesturing like cave people.
