When I went to Shanghai to compete at the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games for Team Canada, I had to go through Chinese Customs. While their officers had some confusion with my Canadian passport as my Powerlifting Team Assistant Coach had the same first name as my middle name, their service was very good. Their customs are much like the European Union Schengen Treaty zone as you have to go through customs once for entry and then once again before you leave the country. Ever since I visited China in 2007, I want to come back some day.
I like how you go through them when you enter and exit more stamps :D . I live in melbourne and went to Vancouver in sep 2019 and so silly YVR. No security check, no people look at your passport. you fill in yourself, no stamp, no bag checks, then leaving only breif chekc and no one look at passport
Imagine having a suggestion box and buttons that incoming travelers can press to express their level of satisfaction with US customs. There would be endless complaints 😂 !!!
Usually 99% of people choose extremely satisfied. I have those rating devices in bank windows as well but very few people will actually give a low score.
Aii the comments below are not recent. In this presentation, there was no mention of a 14-day quarantine that international travelers must go through. What about that? Is there any information about the 14-day quarantine? How much does it cost to stay in a hotel for 14 days and no contact with your loved ones?
This was published seven years ago. Of course it wouldn’t mention the current quarantine. As of now 99% of foreigners can not enter China so the quarantine policies do not apply to us.
China has a 72-hour no visa policy, where you don't need a visa for a layover if it is under 72- hours. Also, you can leave your luggage at the left luggage counter for $5 USD
You will go through passport control in Shanghai. You do not have to do this again in Changsha. But you will most likely have to go through luggage scan upon arrival at both Shanghai and Changsha airports. Hope this helps!
