Tip: Wheat takes 7 months to fully grow to harvest. Sorghum only takes 4 months, so with season restrictions off, you can get 2 harvests a year of Sorghum.
what the best game time settings? should i be sleeping each month away?? feels a little cheap to just plant harvest and run back to the house to sleep the year away?? am o doing this right?
Giants needs somewhere in between like the child it thinks our character is, and that mod where you can lift a whole round bale. Lol. I feel they could incorporate some way to get "country strong" on here to lift a pallet of eggs.
I have a chicken pasture for nearly a year in the game. I feed the chickens with wheat from the store but when i get my eggs the egg pallet isnt loading more eggs and just stoos at the 170 pieces. Anyone knows why?
wonderful issue i had, some modder genius modder made a chicken coop for 20k price. wonderful eggs you cant lift up egg spawn poimt inside the coop itself forklift wont fit none of them would to tall tractors tobig trailers wont fit couldnt get eggs loaded. had to sell coop and chickens and start over... uninstalled mod never again. just began making profit on them too. 2 tractors tipped over trying to resolve this too.
No. You don't need any, as the game isn't THAT hardcore. But IRL, the general rule is 1 Rooster for 10 Chickens, if you want to role play a "real" chicken yard.
Hi I just got some chickens as for food it say base food then below it says grain then under that is sun flowers I don't know what yhe base food is can some one help me
I actually paused the video when he selected rooster to read the notes and then came to the comments to see if anybody else asked. Have you found out any info?? Do roosters affect yield at all?
@@Whiskers4169 It "works" the same way as in 19… it's a game. not real life (they could implement needing a rooster, but I don't expect _anything_ from "GIANTS" at this point)
Buying roosters is pointless since chicken in fs22 can reproduce without them, and since roosters don't lay eggs, they are just a waste of money, space and food
@FarmerCop you would get about 20% more profit from eggs than with seed conversion if you feed them with barley, wheat is about equally between eggs or seeds and sorghum gives better profits from seed conversion. I tested with 3 coops with 360 0 months old chickens were each got 9000L of each crop to test benefits, but it was a yeald of 5161L of eggs in each coop Wheat gave 18000L seeds totals:$12528 Barley gave 16686L seeds totals:$11613 Sorghum gave 19530L seeds totals:$13592 Eggs 5161 totals:$12964 My top seed price was 696/1000L My top eggs price was 2512/1000L. So, as I said eggs are useless unless you need it for production lines
no water no waste, is this really progress, I realize adding in the production chain is a big addition but we should be progressing from what we learned in the past , not changing the game with each rev. With Animals soo automated imo this change is way too fake and diminished the game in a big way.
Good video thanks, say your pen has a limit of 30 chickens and you are maxed out, what happens when the reproduce? are chickens slaughtered automatically? Can you explain what happens with reproduction and max numbers etc? Thanks :)
Have you done any testing or heard from anyone if there is a difference in age? Like should I sell off all of my chickens over 50 months or something like that? I know I could/should sell so I can make free $ since I am currently full and not reproducing. But I feel that it is more income if I just keep the coup at full capacity. Or is it best to thin the flock once every year or two? Anyone know?
Way late response, but I'll get back with you on this. I currently have only played through 3/4 of a year playing on medium diff and I have 2 of the chicken coupes that hold 360 and one pasture. I'm keeping up with their ages and price and haven't got to the point where they're old and can't reproduce, but I initially started out with 10% highest cost, oldest chickens almost to maturity, 10% roosters, 50% youngest, 30% middle age. I filled the coupes 3/4 of the way full and 4 months they're already needing another pasture. I'm sure it'll exponentially explode one day to where I can't keep building. Gotta have roosters for reproduction, but not sure what a good ratio is because you want the chickens to reproduce but at some point they're going to multiply so fast you'll just be selling them.
And can already see that having he bakery and making cakes is the money maker, but too many production points to own in front of it just to get eggs to that point. If chickens made manure like IRL, then coupes would be fabulous.
Hey, from a cop, how much would buy our would the chickens be able to reproduce and you to sell them and how much money would you be getting back from it?
I realize this is an old video and my interface looks nothing like his. But chickens don't seem to work well in FS22. What the heck is 'moist food', 'protein food' and the others? The only way I found to add the ingredients is to buy chicken food. Not cool. And they don't produce much at all. Sometimes, nothing at all. I speeded up time for 10 years and they didn't even produce a pallet of eggs. Pretty messed up. Good luck if you need eggs for factories. And it wasn't just that one map. I tried coop's on different maps. Same results.
Does anyone else sell their chickens after a couple years and refresh their stock?? Or can you keep the same chickens basically forever without losing production??
Great Video , keep up the great work. I haven't seen this question asked yet... How often do you have to feed the chickens? Do they blow through food really quickly, or is it a more gradual time lapse in between restocking their food?
Does seem odd given that Giants already has the code infrastructure for watering animals. But maybe it's a performance tradeoff -- if you need to cut CPU cycles, chicken water seems about as sensible as anything else. Let them suck the dew off the morning grass.
The map I am using already comes with a very basic chicken pen but i want to demolish it and place a better one. It won't let me do that until i sell the chicken which i have 10 chicks 1 rooster it won't let me sell them only buy them.
So i watched some other videos on yt and in andys farm video where he proved roosters are just aestetic (in the moment of making his video) a chicken eats around 5L of food for each month. So to be able to fully feed a 360 full chicken pen per harvest you will need 5 x 360 x 4 for sorghum wich equals 7200L
