Awesome video guys! We love exploring Shimokitazawa! Happy you got to meet Takashii from Japan! Look forward to the interview video! Those Totoro Cream Puffs are so tasty! Loved the Cat latte!
Glad you guys found some time to check out Shimo! I wanted to put Shigo's place in my video, but they were out of stock 3 days in a row lmao! Either way, awesome stuff y'all and keep up the good vids!
Thanks for the recommendation. We went specifically because you made Shimokitozowa sound so cool. Also thanks for the pro tip about the cream puffs. We lined up before opening cause you told us they sold out super quick. Likewise keep up the good work, noticed your videos have been breaking out!
@@IfWeGoTo oops sorry just saw this! not a problem! Love helping out whereever I can! Yeah I'm glad y'all were able to get the cream puffs and have them for the video lmao. Those things are always running out 🤣. And yeah been super lucky with my videos recently. Hopefully we can keep both keep growing our channels quickly! 👌
looking forward to my 1st visit to Japan, this video is super helpful, I would have never known about this neighborhood, or the Totoro cream puffs! Thank you for your fine work, I'm enjoying your channel, my tastes align nicely with yours, peace and love, adam
😳I just came directly from watching Takashi’s channel where he interviewed his friend here with you! Also… I didn’t comment the other day, but I also follow The One Pack Wanderers (since their Vietnam motorcycle trip) and more recently their friends Lisa and Josh! The RU-vid world is getting more and more tight knit… I wonder who else you will meet… seems everyone I follow is in Japan at the moment!
Oh awesome!! They were both so nice, a pleasure to meet them!! That’s awesome!! Definitely the travel vlog community is pretty small!! But everyone was so nice!! And yeah!! I think Japan is a very popular destination so after hearing it was open again after many years I think everyone was so excited to go!! Like us!
Shimokitazawa is so cool isn't it!! We were just there a couple weeks ago. Some shops are expensive but we found some really good cheap ones. You make great videos, it's fun seeing our vlogs cross over eachother I wonder if we are ever in the same place at the same time lol 🤣 Maybe our paths will cross somewhere 🥰🇯🇵
It was such a cool spot!! We’d definitely be down for an interview if we bump into you one day? Are you in shimokitazawa?? We’ve left Tokyo but maybe on a future visit!! 😃
@@IfWeGoTo I'm glad to hear it, I'm sure it will be a great help to you. But unfortunately, I don't use instagram. If you have a message, please comment on any video📬 I will reply immediately. Thank you very much!!
The "Off" brand has many different stores. Book-Off is for Manga, CD's and DVD's. Mode-Off is for clothes. Garage Off is for motor vehicles. Hard-Off for electronics. Liquor-Off for alcohol. Hobby-Off for toys and collectables. Then there's Offhouse that has everything.
There is a Shirohige shop in Kichijoji also . In Shimokitazawa, do try Taiwan Kitchen. Great fried crispy chicken n pork at reasonable prices. The pizza shop is also good.
Ohayo, thanks for the vid. What were the places that were cheaper to thrift in Ueno, if you please? And, what is Tokyo like now that JApan has opened back up to the world? Arigato 💖
Thank you!!! I don’t remember the name of the shop, but it was close to Ueno station! They had a few options there too! It is a little quieter than last time, more caution around illness, but still has all of the charm!
@@IfWeGoTo さん I've never heard a violation of manners, You also eat SUSHI with your hands, right ? I'm sure he was jealous because your wife was beautiful 😁
I love Shimokita! But it has really gotten pricey over the years now that people go there specifically for thrifting. You're right many other places has cheaper thrift stores, there are good ones in Ueno, Ikebukuro and Koenji for cheaper prices.
We will be in Japan until early December and plan to visit Vietnam and Thailand in the next couple of months! Maybe India, but that is still in the talking stage. We have many other Asian countries we wish to visit and revisit in the future though. we will have a bit of a backlog from Japan, with maybe 10-12 videos to post from Japanese cities! But more Asia is definitely coming!
