Thanks, I have already returned Sonos soundbar back to Costco 😅 because it didn't let me connect to the pair of eras 100 as a STEREO. I don't need a surround system all the time (it is good only for movies with special effects). As a stereo, it cuts off all the time and runs with a big delay. No way. You should read concerns from your customers and design the products better. Era 100 are okay. However, I was surprised that I had to buy a 3.5 jask to usb connector for an extra $25. No more Sonos.
Just wondering if connection to a Vizio TV (50") lessens the quality of my Beam Gen 2. My HDMI cables are all HDMI 2.1, and are super high quality. I have the Vizio's sound off..Auto does the same>.but early on, I was getting blackouts of the Vizio and Beam 2 for several seconds. I fixed this after a series of unplugs and shut downs. But it just seems that the Beam 2 sound better when hooked up to my Sony 42 TV. As it happens, it was connected via optical connection, I believe.
Have Sonos fixed the issue of music in films being too loud compared to voices. It is very hard to heard what characters are saying with Sky Cinema, Netflix, Paramounts, Disney etc. I have Arc and Sub. with our main TV, and an old Sonos Sound bar else where.
I think this is one of Sonos users biggest asks - to be able to have a vocals equalizer option. I find the more i up the surround equalizer, the more vocals from the fentre channel are overtaken. It should not be that the default way to watch anything with speech is to have the vocal enhancement option always on. That should be for exceptions not norms.
I was fighting with this issue for 3 months. Ended up returning the Beam2 back to Costco and left a pair of era100 via 3.5 jack to usb converter (on one of them hardwired, the second runs via wifi) works as it should...
