Quick vid we put together for our Guide Vlog series. This one covers cut plug mooching fishing for salmon on the north coast of British Columbia at Langara Island, Haida Gwaii.
Excellent! Thanks for the in-depth information. I appreciate that you take the time to go over how your rigging up and what you're using. Helps a lot! Hopefully my wife and I can make it up. We would love to fish with you.
Thanks very much from New Zealand. I am anazed at the old technology reels you use, and no nets? No braid, no fluorocarbon leader. And you can snell.hooks way easier than that
It looks like you are trolling rather then mooching? Maybe I’m wrong. It seems that you guys run very specific rods and reels for mooching then we do in the states for mooching.
Great video! I'll be back at Langara again, the 1st week of September. This time, I'll bring along my fly rod in the hope of catching a big Northern coho on the 10 wt. Any tips on flies for those late season silver bullets in the salt chuck? I'll probably be playing in the prop wash while the other rods are mooching.
Hope everyone gets something out of this, if you do be sure to hit the like button and if you have questions we'll be happy to answer them in the comments below, thanks for watching. chromersportfishing.com/langara_island_salmonfishing/
Great video! I have not seen a knife with a rounded tip like you use to cut and clean guts from the herring. Is there a name or brand in it or a link you would have for us to find one? Thanks
