Excellent! Thanks for the in-depth information. I appreciate that you take the time to go over how your rigging up and what you're using. Helps a lot! Hopefully my wife and I can make it up. We would love to fish with you.

Thanks very much from New Zealand. I am anazed at the old technology reels you use, and no nets? No braid, no fluorocarbon leader. And you can snell.hooks way easier than that

It looks like you are trolling rather then mooching? Maybe I’m wrong. It seems that you guys run very specific rods and reels for mooching then we do in the states for mooching.

Great video! I'll be back at Langara again, the 1st week of September. This time, I'll bring along my fly rod in the hope of catching a big Northern coho on the 10 wt. Any tips on flies for those late season silver bullets in the salt chuck? I'll probably be playing in the prop wash while the other rods are mooching.

Awesome video! Where do you get the surgical tubing like the ones you have that are so thick! I can't seem to find those ever for my slider. Cheers

You got to shop around a bit to find it, Pacific Net & Twine in Steveston carries it.

Great video! I have not seen a knife with a rounded tip like you use to cut and clean guts from the herring. Is there a name or brand in it or a link you would have for us to find one? Thanks
@chromers
@chromers Год назад
It is a Rapala fillet knife. We simply take the tip to a grinder to get the sharp point off and give it that rounded tip.

Morakniv also sells a floating knife with a rounded tip.

What OZ weight are you running. Also where do you find the coated slip sinkers? Can’t seem to find them in the states.
@chromers
@chromers 2 года назад
Mainly 8 ounce weights, but sometimes we use 6's and 4's. You can buy them covered or you can use plasti-dip and dip your own, thats what we do.

My question is where do you get your herring?
@chromers
@chromers 2 года назад
The herring come frozen and packed from Vancouver Island.

Some people find out where they spawn. Stock up on them for fishing season.
@tylermclemore9591

These are spawning kings?
@chromers
@chromers Год назад
No, these are chinooks (kings) in the saltwater. They are feeding and heading down the BC coast to their native rivers.
