My typical practice involves observing the pain body passively (i.e., just looking at it); all the while I have never ever even considered the active meditation of looking deeply into the pain body. Fascinating impact!

A great guided meditation, thankyou Tenzin, I am so grateful for you making these teachings so accessible. I have one difficulty and that is how do I recognise a block in the mind, rather than a block in the speech.

I was also wondering about this - he talks about this question at 46.00 on. I think that speech is referring to thought in word form, and mind (NB citta = heart/mind) is more hindrance and emotion/state, such as doubt, ignorance, anxiety. So one is as inner speech and one as feeling tone but also it is a question of subtle and gross mind. If it becomes a blockage worrying about the difference, then I would suggest that you simplify it to body and mind, and seeking the doorway to stillness within these two.

What we think of as the mind in Western thought is actually thought of as an effect of the brain in Eastern culture. The western "mind" is actually part of the body. The True mind cannot have blockages, what we call the heart or soul in the west. Is dharmakaya.

Thi is evidenced by when they say "body, speech and mind" they point to the head, the throat and the heart, in order. I hope this helps!

I feel that the things we unsaid or we said that are hurful towards someone else or even to ourselves are blockages in the speech... and the overwhelming thoughts in the mind..that sense of heaviness for worrying so much about something..may be blockages in the mind... just sharing..and wishing u very healing practises 🙏😊
