This video was taken at around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 19th, 2022 and shows the north side of Jaco Beach from the end of calle Gemelas all the way to Playa Mono / Monkey Beach at the far north end of the beach. Playa Mono is one of the most picturesque and quiet parts of Jaco Beach. While the area is not a secret to any local, most visitors to Jaco miss out on this hidden treasure because it is on the far end of town, and because access can be difficult from Jaco Beach at high tide.
We pass in front of Clarita's before heading north on the beach in front of Croc's Casino Resort. It is low tide so we are able to easily cross the water at Quebrada Bonita and get to Playa Mono. As is often the case, there are very few people on the beach throughout our walk.
After a short break at Playa Mono we head back towards the boardwalk in front of several condominiums, passing rows of coconut trees, palms and almond trees.
