Josh says that Reva's vanishing just after promising that she wouldn't shows how jealous she is. Reva reappears in a more provocative outfit. She admits she fibbed about disappearing and about being jealous. Reva asks Josh if he has any idea of what it's like to carry a torch through eternity. She's never been ever to let go of him, and he's never been ever to let go of her, so she says. It's hard for her to see him take another woman into his arms. But her consolation is knowing that he will never be happy with another woman. Josh points out that he is still a corporeal presence and thinks he still has a shot at being happy. It's taken him a long time to think it was even possible for him to go on and have a real life without her.
