Sam was a character that had a very big transformation since her stay in Springfield. She had to grow up fast when she endured the loss of her legs. Sam is well known for going to a room and never coming out. I did some digging and I hope it is true but I never found video evidence but it was mentioned that Sam moved to where her father was.
I loved the Jean murder mystery and focused a lot on it. Too bad they didn't find a new love interest for her.
