ive been replaying GW1 lately! there is one favorite quest i really love, is called "Wisdom of the Druids" this quest is probably rare to players, since you have to /kneel to statue of dwayna to get the quest at the outpost "Druid's Overlook", the thing of this quest is, it is reference to a Dynamic Event in Gw2 Auric Basin, where a charr is looking for the druid of magumma, the charr will start chanting and the same chant is spoken during the quest "Wisdom of the Druid"
On the Searing Cauldrons. In the Personal Story the Pact finds more of them in Orr and use them against Zhaitan. We also used a grenade version for a war crime in IBS.
I was impressed when I saw the Prophet's Path and Augury Rock from GW1 retruning in GW2, seeing the landmarks and the portals worn down by the sand made me very nostalgic. I also had a blast seeing Droknar's Light come back to GW2. I almost freaked out when I saw that, just as the Beacon of Ages and the story of Elementalist Azurie being a wayfinder all the time.. this all made me very happy after I spent so much time in GW1 looking at every building
Thanks, love these lore videos hope to see more, as a GW2 player I knew nothing about any of these, its sad to me they went to the effort of putting these into the game but they're lost on players like myself.
Every single time I see an old gw1 location in gw2 I nerd out a little. The ones on this list were good, but some of my other favorites were the “Tail of the Star God” which was at the center of Pockmark Flats, Serenity Temple (which, fun fact, was Ascalon’s equivalent of Temple of the Ages and og Chantry of Secrets lore wise before the Searing), Henge of Denravi, Sifhalla (Ruins), Garden of Seborhin (old favorite of mine), and most of all Augury Rock, which brought back a ton of memories and emotions.
Guild Wars and GW2 are so rich in lore and that makes both games so much more interesting to play. It’s going to be fun to see where the game goes next in the upcoming expansions.
