My only gripe so far is the requirement of the commander tag for the backpiece and for pips, its just forcing people to buy it and producing commanders who are using the tag solely for the purpose of getting more pips, rather than actually playing the objectives and doing what they need to do (not to mention more of them running around fracturing the player population on any given map, I have even seen 2 squabbling over map chat about their "turns" to lead people around). Yeah its only one bonus pip, but despite that its already a problem Im noticing Commander tags should only be for those who seriously intend to lead and play the objectives
WvW has a problem that is not addressed in it's odd 5-min-chunk issue. The way that rewards work with this odd timed setup causes issues throughout. They really should have rethought this whole aspect of the reward system instead of awkwardly bolting the pip system on top of it.
I suppose they don't want people to earn things too fast but I agree. I myself don't like WvW but have to do it if I want my legendary and it's just soooooo tedious. They should just remove the 5min thing and let it count every time instead.
I personally hate the WvW in Guild Wars 2 Mostly because if you want legendary weapons, you are forced to play it. That and how you mostly play it is just so tedious to me. You run 15min, stand on a point, run 10min stand on a point, die and then start from the beginning, run 15min and so on. It's more like a running simulator than anything else. And battles are just moshpits where the bigger group always always wins. I understand why, more players = more attacks but this makes any skill needed completely superfluous. People just bash in smaller groups and always win, then run 5min to the next point and that's it. I just wish I could ignore it completely but if I want a legendary, I am forced to play it. Oh well. At least the rewards are improved? I can't explain how dead WvW for a long time.
How about a load of PVE players leeching along into wvw. Queues are crazy and the zergs have never been more disorganized. Only half listens to the Commander (if we're lucky).
WvW on my server was soooo toxic. Lot's of 'pro' wvw gamers, cursing out and telling 'pve carebears' to get out. And that ques should be done in rank order so 'noobs' couldn't get in. Which is exactly the reason more players don't play wvw.
Faint Karma that's how my server is too. Those people are the cancer of this game. It's always the commander too. And it's always a shitty commander. One who just leads the zerg to their death over and over
