I've just found your video here and it's brilliant, excellent editing too. Once upon a time a friend introduced me to GW2. We played for a bit and they lost most of their interest in the game. But I was hooked. My journey ended up being very similar to yours. Now my only friend wasn't online in the game, I'd have to get out my comfort zone, get past the social anxiety and join other people. Then a guild took me in, and a friendship circle within the guild took me under their wing. They taught me things about the game, showed me stuff and I had a blast doing it. Years have past now and it's still the same way, except now, I have a tag, endless knowledge and I'm always keen to share it with others and take in other wanders too

I watched so many GW2 review video that just goes through all the talking point without any emotion, passion or new things to say. Your video is trully unique and really hit with how you express yourself through the game and the activity you've done along the way. It's not another cold and structured "top 10 reason why YOU must play this game", but a chaotic and emotional journey you invite us to feel. I must admit that your video did struck me hard too, because I made most of my friend on this game and even if they stop playing it, I still talk to them regularly. Thank you for making this kind of video, that's the emotional ride we severly lack on game review !

When I started gw2 years ago the biggest thing I loved was to be able to play by myself as I had huge social anxiety. But slowly I started participating in map meta events and boss trains and then I found myself buying a commander tag for putting up squad if I noticed some lane on Octovine missing it and finally just tagging up for creating squads for different events and advertising them on LFG. And I got into guilds for doing fractals, strikes and (some) raids and an RP guild and and and... GW2 and it's community ❤️

Personally i'm way too bossfight allergic, socially awkward and toxic at the same time, but i'm very happy someone finds raids and stuff interesting, entertaining and make friends along the way. Coming from ffxiv where they have been cooking stale content on these recent patches lately It wasn't a burn out or anything I was just bored of the game formula. So I started trying gw2 again after years of break and boy I just feel that challenge again, some of the open world content is not too hard and not too easy which is something I've been craving.

Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I thought it had the same vibe as Pint's FF14 videos! Needless to say that it was really well scripted and done. GL for the futur of the channel 😉

10/10 fantastic editing, let out actual laughs several times

This video brought back a sense of nostalgia that I can't seem to find anymore in MMO's these days. The part about practicing rotations to join raids reminded me of the time I applied to the top guides in WOW and did literal interviews to join LOL. I stopped playing GW2 after Path of Fire and I gotta say my entire experience was extremely "elitist" and min maxed. Watching these takes where the player actually takes their time to really enjoy the game for what it is makes me want to revisit all the content I missed out on.

I mostly played SWTOR and ESO as my main MMOs for the longest time subbed to both of them as well. Eventually after playing them non stop for years and years and years, I felt like I needed a break from them. I tried FF14 since that seems to be the game that literally everyone recommended to me, didn't like it personally. See as a loner with severe social anxiety myself I hated that FF14 basically forced you to play with other ppl and I know they made it more solo friendly now but not fully still and I wasn't a fan of the gameplay in general. But finally someone recommended me GW2. They told me the game didn't have a subscription it was free to play with literally no pay to win services and it was completely soloable just like SWTOR and ESO are. After that recommendation I downloaded and played it and can say I was almost immediately hooked. The world feels so alive with so many live events going on it felt like when 1 event was done there was another right around the corner and the NPCs in the world actually feel like they are living in the world not just there as a bunch of background filler. I fell so in love with this game so fast that day 2 of playing I decided to buy the ultimate edition of the game to get all the DLCs for it (This was around the time End of Dragons came out). Even now I still am more of a solo player bc I mostly just play for story Roleplay, (Real Roleplay not ERP) and open world events and sometimes dabble a little WvW. and the game is completely ok with it in fact I feel like it rewards for it even and thats the best feeling to me! GW2 is hands down the best MMO I've ever played.

"Friends"?! HA! I'm a Power Reaper doing Open World! I just Shout "Rise!" and five Lurking Horrors show up! Who needs "friends"? Alright, I'm in a Guild but I'm completing maps so I just give encouragement in Guild Chat while eyeballing the local boss and telling 'em they're no longer the nastiest thing here... (Great vid and fantastic editing!)

Man, this reminds me of how I always wished raids had solo modes just to experience the content at your own pace.

The commentary is SO relatable (my poor minions :( ), and your scene choices where EXCELLENT! I am so tired of people using the same old videos to show the classes/fights/etc. You added that necessary...pizzazz!

I don't usually stick around to watch these types of videos, but this was really fun to watch. I hope you'll make more videos

GW2 probably saved some part of me, As a firm lover of Anti-social MMOs and being pretty tired, I think i have made just as much memories in GW2 in 3 months than 7 years in whatever else im playing. I started off just getting to 80, but at 60 or so i found regular trains by accident, seen a skyscale walk out of a cave and then another 60 or so people behind, i was like ehhh? So i tagged along and just done stuff with them, familiarizing myself with that map rotation and after that actively joining on trains wherever they be. The other day, 1am UK time, i heard careless whisper in DR, i turn around and a flock of griffons were walking together, about 15 of them, so i joined anyway with my plush raptor, we walked to the portal to lions arch, gathered even more people, walked up to the lighthouse together and jumped off it, we had about 60 people do this at the sleepyest hours of the EU server, cos what else are we gonna do at this time in the morning? Im still often on my cat bed in DR

The resemblance between Norns and Humans is coincidental as the Norns are native to Tyria while the Humans are an invasive alien species brought to Tyria by their gods. The humans then proceeded to Manifest Destiny their way everywhere. In Cantha the native, and dominant, species was the Tengu, shortly after their arrival the humans were the dominant species. In Elona, the dominant and native species was the Centaurs. The humans sorted out some sort of power share with them where they were in charge, the Dwarves living there just kept to themselves. Palawa Joko then later genocided the Centaurs out of existence. In Ascalon, the native and dominant species was the Charr. One attempted genocide later, with the help of their "gods" it was once more the humans as they had driven out the Charr completely. The Charr then later "rectified" this colonialism, this is the reason there are human ghosts all over Ascalon. The same with Kryta. That was originally Centaur territory until the humans displaced them. The reason there are so many centaurs in Kryta is that the new area they were displaced to they were later displaced from again as Jormag's influence made that area too harsh to live in. So, they came back to Kryta in an attempt to take back their ancestral lands.

As an introvert I find myself wanting to talk to with ppl in this game, it's just great that the majority are not toxic

Love the video! It made me both happy and sad! As someone who is a loner when playing MMOs it really hit home. Been playing for 11 years and still haven't done Raids, Strikes, or more than a couple of fractals. Sadly most of my friends were put off by GW2 early and now my guilds & friend's list are a ghost town.

Great video. This had some serious Pint energy. Very lively editing. Audio could use some more work though, I think. A bit more dynamic range, maybe. I'm not an audio guy so I don't really know what I'm talking about, but it felt a little flat.

I randomly stumbled over this video, but you got me immediately hooked to watch it completely haha I've been playing GW2 on and off over the past years, so I'm far from finishing anything or even farming the legendary weapons... but your video got me motivated to experience more of the game! Most of the time I'm also a solo player... but I can see the fun times when you're in the right group or guild. Keep going with these videos, I like the editing style :)

But for real though, when I started GW2 it was a lot similar experience, everything was just new. You get rewarded for exploring and navigating the world, it's not like other MMOs with a firm gameplay, it's a reactive style of fighting which I think makes GW2 unique. The community is great too, I remember finishing the base game and walking around clueless before someone in map chat just smacked me a guild invite and the rest was history, I've known them for nearly a decade now.

I tried getting into GW2 like 4 times and just never could, the leveling was too boring and it always made me quit, but I'm glad RU-vid recommended this to me, was a fun watch. ^^

The biggest thing that happened was you quitting league! So glad for you. I'm still on my first week detox from it. I started league after getting bored of MMORPGs so it will most likely not have the same impact to me. So I thought of offline games to play alone, or some minecraft with my wife. Nevertheless, glad you found something you enjoy, it's a rare thing to find in this bleak world.

awww that was inspirational esp at the end, the editing is so good!! what i really love about gw2 is the lack of pressure, if i wanna solo explore i can, if i wanna pseudo solo by just joining a world boss/meta and be playing with ppl but not REALLY, i can do that too. and if i really wanna scratch that "10 ppl working together to bring down that boss!!" i can easily do that too even with just lfg (funnily enough i found my current raid guild this way, by jumping in a w4 training run n at end of it they just invited me, and they only casually run on sat night once a week n we usually only do 1 or 1.5 wings, but that works fab for me cuz low pressure). everything feels rather natural with gw2. it might not work i guess for super serious hardcore sweaty gamer types that must 100% perfect high efficiency playing 20hrs a day type, but for me its so good XD
