the song itself is not horrible, it could even been considered a good one, the problem is Jojo 😭 the ideas of the visuals she wants to use are just bad, weird and unconfortable, she look desperate to look adult (the idea of an adulthood that would have a pre teen lol), we cannot take her serious because it doesn't feel autentic at all, she is sooo gringeeeeeeee
Right, like there are parts that have a good beat and production sound, but honestly her singing fights the music rather than compliment it. Like any half decent DJ could make this into a great, grown up song I'd here at a music festival
The song itself goes kinda hard ngl, but the problem is JoJo. With all those years on those dancing shows you’d THINK she would know about decent choreography. But no, all that’s in her head is “acting like an adult=stealing a song, drinking alcohol and doing naughty things on stage, and having sexual interactions with ppl every other 5 seconds of a music video”
its the lip singing and the fake tan are the things that piss me off about this, and the fact that Jojo ruins everything she does. A talented artist could smash this song and make something truly amazing - tbh this would be amazing as a rock song and with a metal vocalist that would be something
The teddy bear outfit reminded me immediately of the Belanciaga children's shoots with the cross of bdsm outfits on the teddy bears as well as a corny knockoff of when Miley Sirus "came out" from breaking into her adult body cutting ties to Disney. Jojo Siwa had been seen in an interview stating she wanted to do the same as Miley as suspiciously Siwa may believe she could add her own "sexualized" twist to it and it fell flat completely. It's pathetic how hard Siwa is trying so hard to claim her ties to the lgbt community yet it not only sends a message of creeper stalker rapist vibes which I highly doubt that the community wants to be implicated or insinuated linked. Jojo needs professional direction toward relevant music videos to match the theme to her new music, and a proper costume props designer. Her costume direction is far to childish and she is not good at choreography and needs someone to sharpen what direction she is intending.
The song itself reminds me of the era when Gimme More by Britney Spears came out. The song isn't terrible. Throw it at an artist with talent and it probably would be a hit BUT instead, we got this blasphemy.
So does anyone know who Siwa got this song from? I'd be interested in hearing the original. As for this train wreck of a video... Is it meant to be an ironic parody of Miley??
Is it just me, or does the whole teddy bear/children toy thing she’s trying to use seem like she’s trying to copy Melanie Martinez’s Crybaby era with the whole dark/mature theme but using childish objects to do so
