Guinea: Mining companies ordered to process bauxite on site 

A very good move Guinea. Foreign Companies must built Aluminium Plants for complete processing, so that Guineans could be employed. Should they fail to do so or come along with excuses, which I am sure they will, then you could decide to go into joint venture with other nearby African Countries such as Ghana for the processing untill Plants are completely built in Guinea. Be hard ! Do not forget Sekou Toure and Kwame Nkrumah are watching. Dear Guinea you are doing a great job and all eyes are on you. Ghana, Guinea, Mali for ever!!!!

Bauxite can be processed to make steel, and steel is in demand in many parts of the world. Stop allowing companies to mine your resources away. They have to open refineries and factories to process these raw materials.

Guinea must demand for the processing of its iron ore to produce steel for export, within Guinea. So should all other African countries! Guinea must learn from Tanzania. During the reign of Nyerere in Tanzania iron ore and coal was discovered and he refused for it to be exploited until a particular time in future when Tanzanian intellectual and technical capacity is developed to have control and benefit from their minerals. During the time of Pombe Magafuli presidency all minerals which were produced in Tanzania were also being processed in Tanzania. Also learn from Indonesia's refusal to export iron and the windfall it's enjoying now from the processing of the same within the country. Learn also from Muammar Gaddafi he made oil to support his people and before he was killed Libya was the highest socially developed country in the world. No African country should sanction the theft of it's minerals by foreigners. That will be the perpetuation of Colonialism and Imperialism.
