I would just like to thank you. Thanks to your video about introducing a new guinea pig. I've successfully bonded my guinea pig who had been separated from his brother before I got him. He's now got a friend ❤
You truely helped me immensely in my guinea pig experience, and their experience as well! I was rather clueless when my girlfriend got us guinea pigs but it's honestly been so much fun to take care of these wonderful creatures!
Guinea pigs are fantastic and how much we've learned about them and their care since I got my first is amazing. I've learned a lot about that new propper care from you. So being part of the Kavee collaboration was well deserved.
I can't wait for the new pattern!!! I did my first sewing projects for my guinea pigs last spring from all your tutorials. Thank you for your wonderful videos.
Lyra is so amazing, still bright eyed and cherished. I remember her first video and she still looks the same. You definitely belong up there with those top ladies on international women's day 👍. Roxi that squeak put the squeak in squeak dreams 😉. Love that the pigeon is visiting with his new partner, my Rocky used to do that, then one day he turned up with 20 friends and stood there with his head to one side as if to say "too many" 😆
I absolutely love your videos for several reasons. You clearly have a tremendous amount of guinea pig knowledge that is incredibly helpful to other guinea pig owners. Your videos are fun to watch with the best guinea pig “dialogue”. You clearly love these animals and it makes me happy to see someone who loves guinea pigs as much as I do and wants to give them their best life possible. I’m sending you warmest wishes for your Lyra. She’s a sweetheart. 💗 I’m hoping Pedro will be able to put on some weight. I fully understand the worry. Finally, I love the hammock patterns and hammock stand! I’m sure it was a lot of work. I also love the new covered bed you designed. Thank you for all the good you do for the guinea pig community!
Been following since 2016 when my girls convinced us to let them have guinea pig pets. Our 2 original piggies were March babies as well. The one left just turned 6 and we just rescued 3 new babies. Our hearts were broken at the passing of one from our original pair and I'm feeling the dread of losing the other one. Hoping she gives us at least another year if not longer.
Bless you I hope so too, our elders do become so precious to us! I have a video on care of senior piggies if you haven't seen it already with some good advice in for keeping a watch on our older piggie's health. ❤
Hi... I'm pretty new to your videos and as a piggy pet owner (1 week). I adopted two from the local SPCA where I actually began working as an adoption counselor about two months ago. I had no idea shelters and rescues took in and adopted out small animals such as guinea pigs. And I never even knew anyone who owned a guinea pig... which amazes me because they ARE ADORABLE and wonderful little pets. I am thrilled to have my two little buddies in my home. And your videos have been the most helpful tool to learn how to care for my new friends. I don't know if you are still doing new videos, but I do hope you are. They are not only exceptionally informative, but they are totally entertaining as well. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and love of the piggies. I have learned so much and hope to continue to... Carole Ann from Annapolis, MD in the USA. :-)
I appreciate your channel so much! I adopted piggies for the first time in my life (35 years!) last January and honestly didn't know much beyond just always being curious to keep some as pets. I learned so much from you and the other women in the guinea pig world! I feel so confident in my abilities to take great care of these nervous squeak potatoes--enough that I fostered a pregnant piggie starting this January and am now keeping her and her 3 girls. 7 total piggies, and I don't for a second feel overwhelmed because of how much I know now and the routine I've established. I thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and passion for these weird creatures. ❤️❤️❤️
I seriously shouted out your sewing patterns and work to Sarah Cary (formerly Guinea Pig Jungle) recently. I wasn't sure if she could purchase from you, but I thought you deserved it! Your designs and adorable cuddle cups and beds and liners are just so worth it. I wish I had piggies now just to buy some! hehe I wanted to be sure to say congratulations on your IWM article and mentions. You ABSOLUTELY belong in the group. Your compassionate, kind, loving, and helping spirit warms my heart - I have been watching your channel for so long now but it never gets old - well piggies are the greatest creation on earth anyway and you are a dear! I did break out into tears though when your voice broke in sadness for Lyra. I know you will cherish her and spoil her every moment she is still on this earth. We are all lucky to have met her! At least you know she will be reunited with Willow and Twix and your other dear piggies when she decides she's had enough. But I suspect she is such a fighter and will hang on as long as she wants. I am sad to hear that Pedro is only 839. Poor lil perfect boy. I had a piggy, Dominik who had to have his teeth cut every month or two, until eventually they removed them. He still had to go in because the back molars kept coming in and curling. He was my sweetest boy and I still miss him all these years later. I hope Pedro gets strong, gains weight, and becomes a fabulous young man!
Awh that's amazing thank you so much! I enjoy the Sarah Cary videos too! 😃 Thank you so much for your lovely heart felt comment, it means a lot. Lyra and Pedro are definitely both fighters! Dominik sounds like such a darling boy, they really do carve out a special place in our hearts ❤🌻
I enjoy watching your videos so much. I've only recently become a Guinea pig mom a month ago to two sweet 1 year old girls that I adopted from the humane society. I am learning so much, and my piggies are living their best life thanks to you. 😁
Congratulaciones Sarah !! ♥️♥️and yes love all of you woman ,my daughter and l follow all of you and Scotty off course.Been our guidence since we got our piggies ,thank you so much.
Don’t be sad about Lyra being old yet! For years we thought my Guinea pigs were near death but they surprised us and we had both of them for almost ten years even though they weren’t even babies when we got them! I hope this helps and I love your videos 💕
I can understand you about the vet distance,we live in the country so our small animal vet is in the city which is one hour and half away.Im so sorry about Liria.. we send you our hug 👩🏻👩🏻🐹🐹
Thank you so much for your videos. You are such an inspiration to my for my own Guinea pigs. I’m your biggest fan from Holland. You are such a lovely person!
Happy Birthday, Lyra! Thank you for all your videos! I feel blessed to be apart of our Guinea pig community. You are a sweet blessing 💜 I, too, try to down play how important my piggies are to me in my real life. So it was good to hear that I’m not alone and it’s good to hear that we shouldn’t hide our love for our animals. 🐹💜🐹💜
Wonderful vlog, no surprise there. So funny, inspiring, empowering (for a middle aged guy like me, too!) and very moving. We are with you every wheek of the way, hopefully Lyra has many happy days ahead and you have sooooo much support and care out here so don’t you forget it! You’re having a huge impact on our own herd plans, thank you ☺️ And teleporting piggies are the business! xx
loved this vid🙂grumpy Pedro is so funny🤣and Happy late Birthday Lira!!!🥳wow she is 7!!!🤯and i totally agree with you that the world needs to know how great piggy's are 😄😆 i could see you were getting a bit sad over Lira and if it makes you feel better i started to cry a bit to😊
Absolutely loved this video, thank you so much, when you were speaking about your girl I got a bit choked up too. Our piggy’s are so precious, even though I’m new to owing piggies I just love how they are and how they interact with us. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more in the future. Oh and I have made the snuggle bag and the hidy hut and my boys love them 😊❤
I always love the commentary from the pigs! When you brought in the grass and and everyone was freaking out I definitely laughed out loud. I too feel like there are assumptions about guinea pig owners but the piggies are my kids and I love them the same as anyone loves their pups or cats. Thanks for the video as always!
Thanks for a great vlog update, it was so lovely to hear all the updates about your piggies! Lyra is adorable 🥰 and Roxy going beserk wheeking!! I love how practical and factual your videos are. And I agree, guinea pigs make the world go round!
Thanks for this vlog. Congrats on the intervieuw, going to read it. Got tears im my eyes, when your voice broke while talking about Lyra. Wishing her a belated happy birthday and we hope that Lyra can stay with us for a bit longer.
@@SqueakDreams thank you for taking the time to reply to me. They are but I am actually looking forward to them growing to full size and calming down a bit lol. In your video I see you are taking a piggy to get their teeth filed at the vet. Do all piggies require that and if not, why does it happen with certain piggies please? Do you find it common? Thank you in advance if you are able to answer this.
I had to go too the petshop as I was low on dog food and my delivery hadn't arrived. There was almost nothing for piggies. 450grams of hay was the largest, only a plastic house, few waterbottles and food bowls. Lyra is in the best of care and she is still loving life. Happy belated birthday Lyra.
I was watching your video with my guinea pig on my knees, and every time your Piggies were squeaking, mine was anwsering! PS sorry if i did mistakes, but I m french❤️
Fairly new subscriber here, really enjoy your videos/vlogs, very informative and entertaining. I have 5 "grandpiggies" that live nearby and want to be able to share what I have learned from your videos so I can be an educated "grandma" to the piggies. I have bought my grandpiggies some presents recently based on what I have learned from you and I also want to attempt to sew them items for their cages. People roll their eyes when I start talking about the piggies. Happy belated birthday to Lyra...enjoy your time with her.
Awww super cute and informative video! 😍🙏🏼 Your video popped up as a suggested video to watch and since I did have a beloved pet guinea pig before, your video helped bring back some fond memories ❤ That's a great idea to use machine washable absorbent material at the base of their cage. I didn't think of that years ago and ended up using disposable puppy pee pads (they have material at the bottom of the pad that holds in any liquid from getting to the cage bottom) below a layer of soft pet-store-bought wood shavings. Awww and I hope Lyra sees many many more birthdays! 🎂🎈
Thank you so much for commenting! I'm glad your enjoyed the video and it's great to hear from someone who the vlog popped up for randomly! A few more and you'll be getting more piggies hehe 😆😃
You have done an amazing job with your youtube channel. I personally love the way you make your videos, and it has inspired me a lot. I now plan on getting a pair of guinea pigs soon! 🥰 I also wanted to ask, what inspired you to get your first guinea pigs?
Hi Sarah!!! I’ve been watching your videos for awhile now and hopefully this summer I will get my own pair of piggies. And I wanted your opinion on if I should get the pigs from a pet store that seems like that care about there animals. I just don’t want to get a sick Guinea pig and have to pay a lot of money for vets. (PS. The pet store does encourage you to buy two piggies. And I have looked at rescues and I didn’t really like any of them) THANK YOU!!!
Hey there, and thank you for commenting 😊 there is a stigma about big brand pet shops, however if they are a privately owned pet shop perhaps they can give you more information about where their animals come from. You want to avoid anywhere where the care is lacking and where any of the animals look sick/have skin problems/anything else which isn't quite right. The other option is a responsible breeder - Facebook is a good place to find these - investigate by reading reviews, comments and policies etc. Look for a breeder dedicated to promoting genetic diversity and good blood lines in a few different breeds. They will usually show their own piggies and sell to other breeders as well as pet homes. They may or may not have a waiting list - but either way they should make it clear they will only rehome to good homes and may want to see photos of your set up etc. Good luck in getting your new piggies! ❤
Thank you Sarah! I have to give credit to you for giving me great advice on care for my guinea pigs! Without your help my guinea pigs wouldn’t be living a wonderful life !!
Thanks Sarah, that was a great Vlog for March! Guinea pigs are incredibly important to me too- they are wonderful pets aren’t they. Little Lyra you look amazing- Roxy that’s amazing wheeking!! Good to hear Pedro had his teeth rasped easily and quickly. Did the vet think it would help him to gain some weight too now? Love the new design hidey and can’t wait for the hammocks to go up on Etsy- they look really great 🥰Jemma xx
Wow, what an amazing month this has been! Happy birthday Lyra, all the best für you ♥️😊 Sarah, congrats on this article about you and your work with the piggies! 😊 You deserved it, because you step in for piggies as well as others mentioned in the articles - for your own ones with a exemplary care and for others by creating informative videos about piggies 💪🏿☺ Don't be afraid to talk about your hobby in life outside RU-vid, its something to be proud of and gunieapigs deserve to be promoted and treated as the amazing pets that they are! 🔥♥️🔥 Greetings from Germany ✌🏿
Love, love, love this video! I hope little Lyra lives well beyond her years. Thank you for doing these vlogs; they are always enjoyable to watch. I did see you on the Kavee site and actually bought a C&C cage, bedding, and totes after I saw you put yours together. So, thank you! (I got the zebra patterned one.)
Thank you so much for your guinea pig videos, Sarah! They've helped me so much, from practical tips to just being excited about a new video! I haven't got guinea pigs at the moment, hoping for some in July/August time, but these videos and others on RU-vid have been so helpful about so many aspects I've been a bit confused about, like bedding, disinfectant and guinea pig checkups. Hopefully, I'll even learn how to use a sewing machine and make some fleece items from your very detailed instructions! ♥♥♥
I love your vlogs!! 💜Awe little Lyra reminds me of my guinea pig Delilah that I just lost. She was so fragile and my baby. I love the hammocks!! I want one so bad!! 😆The bed is also so cool!💓
Congrats on the blog entry! I watch Little Adventures and LA Guniea Pig Rescue and I'm a fan of the three of you. Learned alot about these cuties because of you ladies
Hi Sarah, I love your videos and am so happy you have hooded guinea pig beds in your shop now! I'm getting guinea pigs in easter but do you think it's OK to keep them in a hutch at night and to take them in in the day? I hope you see this. From Sophia.
We just got our piggies this past 2 weeks, and your videos are a real big help. Thanks! We have two in a 4x2 enclosure. Is that too much space? What do you think?
