I live in Santa Rosa CA, and we are recovering from the worst fires in this states history. I had my 4 pigs in two separate crates, along with my cockatiel and Australian terrier in my car along with the necessary food, water, hay, bedding, etc. etc. We were fortunate and our home was spared. My point is that it is important like you said in your video about having enough crates for all your pets.Note: they are often found at garage sales and thrift stores in like-new condition. Last, but not least, I am annoyed at the silly comments made about your cute hair, and other non-related verbage. I am sure you might be also. Your videos and ALL the information you give is valuable and deserves the upmost appreciation. Thanks 👶

I have been needing to get multiple carriers and multiple travel cages! Oh my goodness I am not prepared!!!! Well that shall be remedied! Thank you for the tip! And gosh yes! I cannot imagine a huge earthquake or some fire (gawd forbid) happening and I cannot fit all 12 of my loves in one container! p.s. great haul! gotta try that botanical hay!

I love oxbow! I was at a petstore once, i forgot what it was called but it was a petstore with only one store. The petstore goes by they buy what costumers get. Ok back to the point, they had a HUGE bag of oxbow Timothy hay! It was like 3x3 feet and the hay looked very close to the smaller bags (people say the smaller bags have better hay)

I only have a carrier for each different type of pets i have. I have a small bird cage for my birds, a cat carrier for my guinea pigs and one for my rabbits, a cat carrier for my cat and a small guinea pig cage for my rats.

Thanks to your video I bought extra carriers! I have two groups of rats and two guinea pigs. And obviously I can't put the two groups of rats together or put them with the piggies, so I now own 3 carriers :) Thanks for the tip!

I love you channel! I am looking into getting a couple of guinea pigs, me and my husband, and I've been doing a lot of research on them and you have helped me a lot and opened my eyes up! thank you for that. I am already familiar with the small pets/rodent family because I have a cute hamster and three adorable mice(as well as a tarantula, four frogs and betta fish) and I've been finding out piggies are much more different than hammies or mice! I've learned a lot from you and will be looking into buying these things and getting everything all prepared for our little girl piggies when we bring them home. :)

Skinnypigs1 one time I had a plastic kind of water bottle for my Guinea pigs and my 3 year old cousin squeezed the water bottle and water went in his face lucky I. Was right there and stopped her right away so I would definitely tell people about little kids with plastic water bottles

Great video!!! Please let me know how your piggies like the Oat hay I got those same ones about 2 months ago except I got the chamomile hay for a treat... Anyway what I was gonna say was my boys don't care for the oat hay...They we're eating some of it in the beginning but they've had this Set bit hanging in their cage in a tiny ball for 2 days now... Gonna dump it today!!! Now the botanical hay they love it...Into or only give it every once in awhile...I haven't fed them the chamomile Timothy hay yet...It was quite pricey here too...Also I have a great place that sells all that stuff in the US...If interested let me know Ill give you the link and you can pass it on...I didn't want to post it and you not want me to...Thx as always very informative... I have that same carrier and they are roommates so don't think I need another lol...Take care Shey

I live in the US, so I don't know what the shipping difference would be, but all of the products you've shown here are cheaper on chewy.com and they are such a nice company to deal with! They sent me a personalized greeting card from Florida after my first purchase.

I watch all your videos and have learned so much! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! I would love to see a video where you talk about how long it took each of your piggies to warm up to you and enjoy petting and being held. I adopted my pair of guinea pigs from a shelter about 2.5 months ago and cannot even touch one of them without her being terrified so I just let her have her space. I do all the things people suggest, I don't chase her to touch her, I let her sniff my hand, I sit by the cage and just talk to her so she knows my voice, I hand feed her veggies. I don't want to scare her, I want her to come to me on her own terms. Her cagemate is the tamest pig I have ever seen but she is the complete opposite! I am just curious how long it will take for her to not be afraid of me. Do all your pigs allow you to touch them? How long did this process take? I do understand I need to patient I am just curious what to expect. Thanks! :)

Where did you find thatcmany skinny pigs? I have only seen mine at all pet stores sense i have looked at guinea pigs for 3 to 4 months. I love Abys..the boys are easier at worming up but the females are scared very scared you have to yearn there truest right away or back of.

Have you tried litter trays with your guinea pigs in the past? If not, why not? I know that they can be litter trained to an extent, I'm just wondering on preferences of not using boxes.

+Bunny Basics The piggies always poop whenever the sleep and eat, so putting boxes where they eat gets some of the poops/pee but not nearly all. I just don't wish to use disposable bedding when it will still leave me with poop/pee else where.

Hi, I'm getting piggies in a couple of months and i wanted to know how often should i clean a male Guinea pigs grease gland (i think it's like that you spell it) and if the piggies are under 6 months should i give them alfalfa hay or Timothy hay?

+My Hamster Blog You don't really need to worry about grease glands, unless they were getting really gunky, then you would just wash it as needed but otherwise a yearly bath or two should take care of that. You give them alfalfa based pellets until they are 6 months old and timothy hay. Alfalfa has is pretty useless :)

I have a question: I have 5 Piggies. 4 were rescues together & 1 was from the animal shelter. I noticed you have yours divided up, mine are all together. Why are yours divided? Of mine, the one from the shelter is bigger & a bit of a bully. They are all females. Should I leave them like they are? If I divided them I'd put Cali, the bully, alone & get a roommate for her. The 4 others are bonded together. What's your suggestion?

No Guinea pigs need their own pellets, rabbit pellets do not have Vitamin C Guinea pigs must have. Sherwood pellets are the best I have found. I don't use the pellets in the video anymore. Sherwood makes amazing rabbit and Guinea pig pellets.

why do all the great guinea pig owners live in Canada? I'm in Grand Junction Colorado and I can't find a rescue that has guinea pigs. I probably won't get mine for a while. But I am planning on using those brands for them

+skinnypigs1 so I asked my mom if I could get a Guinea pig I've asked for 3 years and she says no and crude in my room forever and so I was going to proove to my mom that I was responsible so I went online watched your videos got all my Nolege on them and then I told my mom everything I know and she was impressed and she said I could get one but in 2 years from know and I just won't to know if you have any things that could convince my mom to let me have a Guinea pig earlier like to be able to get one in like 3 mounths and I was going to get a c and c cage like yours and 2 pigs so they were happy and I have all the money my mom doesn't have to pay any thing I have 300$ so do you have any ideas ???
