I recently had the good fortune to come across one of Marc’s guitars for sale. It’s a custom OM cutaway with a cedar top and koa back and sides finished in 2001. I was able to work out a trade and am now the proud owner. I’m 66 years old, have been playing since I was 15, and this is my holy grail guitar! Everything about is is perfect for me!
What a great interview! Despite sounding comfortably casual, I could feel the passion for what you both do. I suppose that's one of the ingredients for greatness. Thank you for sharing these stories - truly enjoyable.
I’d bet that the Luthiers book he had that he couldn’t remember the name of was William Cumpiano and the book was titled “Guitar Making a tradition and technology”. Back then it was considered the Bible for new luthiers.
