Slash is the best. I don't really care as to whether or not somebody else might think so, he is the one of the best for me.

this is so true. I can't express how often I see this. It seems that there is not such thing as rhythm or even playing with feel anymore. It's just a matter of "I can shred and sweep and play technically therefore I'm good" I personally don't really know how to shred nor sweep correctly but I feel that I can play multiple times better than these other guitarists I see. I think the best advice anyone could ever give to a beginning guitar player is to not worry about speed and just play with feel.

when was this? cause he said velvet was looking 4 a singer, but i thought thay had one. scott weiland! however i did hear that they fired him a while after velvet got started during one of the tours or something or am i on crack with that? so does this mean velvet is still around but no singer?

you know i get that feeling too. i think slash is just a special person.(although let me just say everytime i see and hear of slash its like looking at a slightly tweaked version of myself. i am also mulattoe)

@mrevolutions23 I think this was 2007, but i'm not sure, but velvet has been out of the picture for 3 or 4 years almost....so it probably was 2007 when slash did this

I love how there are so many cocky guitar players out there who think they are the shit. It has very little to do with being the best fucking guitar player, or being able to "shred" or do sweeps and complicated techniques. It all has to do with can you come up with somehing that a lot of people dig. I don't care if you can shred if you can't come up with good music. Slash has made a lot of really good songs and so he has my respect.

@branch1234 lol i can play on piano what mozart and bethoven wrote but im not recognized worldwide and history as the best compositors is the music... maybe u can play the intro of sweet child o mine... but can u write and compose an intro musically equal that turns the life of millions of people..... u can make a more difficult solo of estranged but u can make a solo that sounds better???

@branch1234 Omg, I've heard them, I think slash is better then them! Some of them can might play faster then him or have more feeling( in your opinion) , but nothing of that matters, it's how good it sounds to you,you might think that guitarists is better then slash, I don't. stop to tell me what I should think.
