Covering the entire Leave Home album, mostly the 40th Anniversary mixes. Barre chords and downstrokes, just like the record. Johnny Ramone would sometimes splash in an A-shape G chord when playing this song live, but this is how he did it on the record. Gotta love that single string “lead riff” after the chorus. The guitar is a customized strat with a Hallmark "The '67" Mosrite-style pickup, and the amp is the Softube Marshall Plexi Super Lead 1959. Thanks for watching!

Hi Hardly, for this piece do you ever listen to "C'mon everybody" of Eddie Cochran? It seems the same progression.

Huh, all on the E string? Random, it’s 1-4-5, why didn’t JR play it like Blitzkrieg Bop, moving to the A string for the 4 and 5? I’ve learned to trust your research!

To be honest, I have no idea why he played it this way, haha. Carbona Not Glue does a lot of the same thing, going as far as to use the same chords in different places on the neck. Interestingly, for this song (Suzy), at live shows he he started playing the G chord at the 10th fret with an A shape as well, usually right before the little riff on the E string.

It gives a different sound. The middle 2 strings give it a slightly heavier mid/higher pitched sound. Hard to explain, but it just sounds more 'full' & tuneful.

I learned to play Guitar with the ramones... you just made it into a business... I can actually play Ramones better then you... might start a channel.... how to REALY play like a ramone-fan, and not a ramone.

It's hardly a business, I don't make any money off this stuff haha. I just upload covers to share how the songs were originally played. But by all means, upload some covers, I'm sure people would love to hear your superior ramone-fan skills
