when Guitar Hero games were awesome, in those times the track selection of rock music was spot on. Activision killed the franchise cause all those damn versions with pop music included ughhhh, it didn't die cause they say it was a gimmick Activision just killed the franchise.
I completely agree with you on that, that's why their company name should be changed to Activi$ion, that's what they care about is money. They screwed us over with the GHTV setlist having the really kickass songs, but we have to pay something in order to play them, if they we're smart they should've kept how it was in the past, pay for the song at a cheap price and play it as many times as you wish as long as you have it. It's not a fantastic experience having to suck their groin in order to play them.
Lynyrd has some good skills. But that guitarist. Wow! "Lord help me, I can't chanyanyanyanyanyange. Won't you fly-i Freebird?" Then, the rocking out comes. If only I could do this song perfectly. And I could. If my arms didn't get tired lol
Biggest twist ending to a game in my life. When I was 10 I played this song for the first time on expert, first time ever hearing the song, and the buildup to it? "Are you sure you want this encore? This song is pretty hard!" Then it starting off really slow, THEN PICKING UP AND NOT SLOWING DOWN AND IT JUST KEEPS GOING, YOU THINK ITS WINDING DOWN BUT ITS NOT. I cried watching this, the sheer nostalgia.
+jungleboogie78 But of course since it is a pretty tough song but hey it took a while for me for some wacky reason since it's not as hard as some of the other songs in the game. This isn't my best FC of all time but it kinda got to me when I got it again, maybe since GH2's HOPOs system can be weird sometimes.
I remember playing this when i was 6 or 7 years old and I used to play it on easy or medium cuz my fingers were too small to reach the end and now i just reach and remember those good memories
+Tanner Braungardt What system? If you're missing Hammer Ons, I would recommend you turn on hyperspeed because it allows you to be more precise. You have to be very precise with Hammer Ons in this game compared to others, like GH3.
Mr Bear So you just subbed to me so that you can just repeat your same pathetic insults. You're just a part of the cancer of haters. Hope you like the next big thing in thriller rides called "The Ban-Wagon."
If you thought the shirts was cool, then maybe putting some rock and roll posters all over your walls will make things a whole lot more awesome for you.
I, for one, think you did excellent on this one, man. And may I say, is that, that is an awesome shirt you've got on. All I have at home is a Nirvana shirt, a Metallica shirt, and a RHCP shirt.
@@calebsawyer0719 Thanks! I'm a rock n' roll fan after all! However, I don't have shirts for a lot of bands, I mainly have some for Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble and Van Halen.
Caitlyn Carmona all my Xbox 360 controllers were smashed because that's all my friends and I used! Haha damn that brought back memories with the back triggers split in half and we would argue who would get the nice controller instead of the broken one. Haha
I've only ever played guitar hero on the guitar controller until I played guitar hero on a ps2 dualshock controller for the first time the other day it was difficult 😳
+TheDragonSlayer Skasko It seems I'm one of the only GH players out there that has the time to respond to comments, most of the guys in the past seem to not really be that active as much as they used to. Thank you so very much man!
***** Yeah, I guess. Thanks. It's just I think the game is... "easy" on the controller. Free Bird has a lot of pull off and hammer on, which are easy to do on controller.
If I leave here tomorrow Would you still remember me? For I must be traveling on now 'Cause there's too many places I've got to see. But if I stayed here with you, girl, Things just couldn't be the same. 'Cause I'm as free as a bird now, And this bird you can not change, oh, oh, oh, oh. And this bird you can not change. And this bird you can not change. Lord knows I can't change. Bye, bye, baby, it's been a sweet love, yeah, Though this feeling I can't change. But please don't take it so badly, 'Cause Lord knows I'm to blame. But if I stayed here with you, girl, Things just couldn't be the same. 'Cause I'm as free as a bird now, And this bird you'll never change, oh, oh, oh, oh. And this bird you cannot change. And this bird you cannot change. Lord knows, I can't change. Lord, help me, I can't change. Lord, I can't change. Won't you fly high, free bird, yeah?
Dekendeman Once again thank you so kindly! Yep I'm one of the very active ones both in replying and loyalty to the franchise. I'm very humble as well! Greetings right back at ya from Texas!
Imawesome Haha I too play this for fun, ever since it came out I took to it and became addicted to it. That was when I had the time to grind out on it in the later games and this is what came to be. Like an Anthrax song, if you "Got The Time" then you'll eventually get it.
Bruh omg!!! That was amazing!! See I'm 14 and play guitar hero too but I'm not really good with the guitar like I can do medium but I'm not the best. But I've learned how to use the controller and I'm beast with it lol😂😂
+TheDragonSlayer Skasko Lol Thank you very much bud. I don't think I deserve that much of a reward for this one, I think the reward should go to my Hangar 18 FC, that's an even harder song and it's my best FC in my career. The hands didn't really get tried at all during this, it's probably coming from doing this ever since the first game came out and it's a lot of exercise if you have the time to completely grind this.
lmao, the way you react at the end, I'd say you find this song hard. xD Good job on the FC, though. Not even the Gamer Man can FC it. Then again, he is a n00b compared to us two, right? =P (Joking, of course) I still count it as my greatest GH achievement to date. Anyone who can FC Free Bird has some serious skills in my book. Good job, man, seriously.
+AriochStarr Lol you love the reaction? xD Thank you so very much for that, the thing is I've FC'd this a few times before but it just seemed like that quad bit in the solo gave me a bit of trouble for some reason, it's probably because I took a bit of a break from the game around that time. Yeah this is a great accomplishment, but this isn't my hardest anymore, my best FC on here now is Hangar 18, let me tell you that was a "King-Kong" sized monkey to get off my back. xD
O_o Well, I officially hate you now. To be able to FC Hanger 18 is only something I can dream of. Damn, dude. Great job. Would've love to have seen that reaction as well. Damn. Hanger 18? Wow. I'm literally speechless. Congrats on that achievement.
+AriochStarr Oh yeah no kidding, but it's on both of my channels, unfortunately there's no handcam footage of it since that camera was all I had at the time.
Practice time on GH2: 1-3 months depending on your skills. Practice time on Guitar: 2-4 years to master depending on skills edit: ( 1-2 hour every day)
Just how long did you have to grind? I seem to have trouble fcing a song most of the time, despite being able to on and off hit difficult sections (like how I'm pretty close to Green Grass and High Tides but I can't maintain consistency)
+Platinumdachi I can't really say how long this took me to pull it off for the first time ever, which I think was sometime back in '09. I think it's all about studying the chart and being able to completely anticipate whats coming and what to do to pull off those certain sections. I can probably do Green Grass and High Tides, but since it's so long and really difficult I didn't have the time to try to go for it, I might eventually.
+ChaosLordDavid Do you have some sort of estimate on how many times you had to restart? I know one thing that discourages me it's choking on a part a few times and I just move onto another song and the cycle repeats
Que fácil te los hace ver el juego me acuerdo cuando lo jugaba me sentía Dios pero ahora que puedo interpretarla realmente me doy cuenta y creo q muchos tambien de las imperfecciones que hay igual es un juego y sólo eso
I know this is late, but I can tell you practiced a lot. Your Starpowers ended right before the next started, and you whammied every extended Starpowers note. Also with the Lynyrd Skynyrd shirt, is this your favorite sing or something?
+AlphaDragonn Yes I have practiced this song and basically studied the optimal star power path. This was one of my all-time favorite Lynyrd Skynyrd hits and I thought the shirt to match would make more sense in a way.
+ChaosLordDavid Well practice does make perfect I guess. Good job, I remember playing thing song years ago and I always felt so cool for beating it haha.
Just for fun, I played along on my Rock Band controller. This song really isn't that hard compared to some of the stuff available right now, but damn if it didn't kick my ass six ways to Sunday when the game first came out.
+Zero Fighter Oh no kidding, this was the first game to where I could actually play with the guitar controllers and play with HOPOs that work and learn, GH1 is really frustrating to play when the HOPOs hardly work.
+ChaosLordDavid Totally. I was really happy when the original songs were released for GH2 on 360, because then they actually worked. Hell, for GH1, I never even TRIED to do the HOPO's. I just hit the strum bar really, really fast.
+MyName1sJosh I do, perhaps just check your calibration and see if it works to your liking and perhaps have the tv setting be on Game mode, since that helps a bit. Hope it works!
the song isn't rediculously hard. It just is very long and has a lot of patterns repeated for a while, so it isn't as much as a test of skills as it is a test of consistancy. defiantly my second favorite song after hangar 18.
that was awesome, don't get me wrong that was really cool but like you could've put that time learning to play it virtually into time learning the solo in real life, I mean that solo took me two years to learn but if your motivated you can learn
