Black Magic Woman - Santana Not to bad, it's possible to get a whole lot more ticks and two squeezes, but they're kinda tough, so this is good enough for me.
I was never huge on guitar hero before but I played rock band 3 with my family a lot when it first came out, more recently I’ve been checking out the guitar hero games though and they’re a lot of fun
@@Rynn- i have never found someone my age who’s played this game and i’m 16! i’ve been playing clone hero as an alternative but it’s pretty much the same thing
@@aytirii ah that's so cool! I really wanna get into clone hero but idk if my computer can handle it,, it kinda sucks lol (also I've introduced a few of my friends to guitar hero also, so there are at least 3 others around our age 😌)
i miss playing this game with my brother jeremy ray schott born: 1/21/94 graduated from South Warren High was in JROTC and ROTC went to WKU moved to Nashville several years ago hopefully this info leads to us reuniting
It's alright.... but, 0:16 - 1:16 THE BEST NOTES/RIFFS IN THE ENTIRE SONG AND WHAT ULTIMATELY PULLS PEOPLE IN AND WHAT MADE THIS SONG HUGE. 1:17-1:32 is almost just filler between a the major instrument and vocal hooks.
@@MartinAston00 actually 1:17-1:32 isn't part of the Santana studio version cover of the song, it's a completely made up part, improvised, made to make the song harder and also more fun on Guitar Hero 3. To be honest the made up part makes the song that much better and it's a major improvement of Santana's cover of the song. The beginning may be popular, but it is overrated in comparison with the added part. The addition completes the song.
[Intro: Instrumental] [Verse 1] Got a Black Magic Woman Got a Black Magic Woman I've got a Black Magic Woman Got me so blind, I can't see That she's a Black Magic Woman She's trying to make a Devil outta me [Verse 2] Don't turn your back on me, baby Don't turn your back on me, baby Yes, don't turn your back on me, baby Stop messing 'round with your tricks Don't turn your back on me, baby You just might pick up my magic sticks [Instrumental guitar solo] [Verse 3] Got your spell on me, baby You got your spell on me, baby Yes, You got your spell on me, baby Turning my heart into stone I need you so bad, Magic Woman I can't leave you alone [Outro: Instrumental]
For anyone struggling with the orange streaks in the end, here’s my method. The first streak starts with four 16th notes, speeds up to triplets and then slows down again to 16ths, ending on a downstrum. The second one is the same but starts with just two 16ths and ends on an upstrum. got perfectly consistent with this method.

getting that first y-b-y looks super cool to people who don't know how the game works since it's so fast. the beginning of the song has the dramatic build up to warrant saying that since you're expecting something epic. the descending G-O then the strum speed change on the O is fucking hard... and you have to do it twice! then the dramatic build up to the outro, again looks crazy to people that don't know, fairly tricky still. def nowhere near the hardest, but you can sell it to a younger brother for sure haha
@@Brain-washed2 to me it seems complicated because of how much slower it is compared to other songs and the way santana paced the notes, some of them seem abnormally rhythmical
Impossible to play in the arcades due to never finding a non broken game machine. Fond memories playing this at work before the shut down 1 year ago.😒😑😪
broo i used to go every week to this place called timezone where they had the guitar hero game and like a few months ago it was gone and they said it had broken down and never went back ever since i miss it so much🥲
I just recently beat this on an arcade GH3 in Meridian, Idaho Big Al’s bowling alley not too far where I live down the street in Boise Idaho, 2 Miles away, and I feel proud I beat it with a 80-90 percent, can’t remember the exact percentage of the song, first time ever
Probably because this is actually two songs in one. The latter half of the song is titled "Gypsy Queen" on the album, but is essentially conjoined to Black Magic Woman as part of a medley
@@sirkjohno0129 omg thank you!! I shall crack my Santana book back open and look for Gypsy Queen. I was so confused why I couldn't find it in my Santana book or my Guitar Hero book.
It's a cover of the Santana version, in terms of structure, guitar patterns, genre, and the second half of the song, "Gypsy Queen". Yes, Peter Green did write the song for Fleetwood Mac, but that version is a lot more bluesy than this cover

I’ve only ever heard this ending on guitar hero and have been trying to find it for my wife thinking this was in the original song. I’m guessing it’s a live version or possibly just studio recorded for the game, anyhow, it’s the fucking best to shred to on the game by far.
