Thanks Ryan, I have her Ramones and Misfits CD's. She was musically gifted, writing songs and playing guitar. Thanks again for your kindness, you never know what kind words can mean
Thank god I finally found a good lesson video of this. It's my favorite ramones song and I really wanted to learn it but couldn't find a good vid to learn from. Thank you.
Thank you for this!! Perfect timing! Always loved this song and my 19yo stepdaughter "discovered" it within the last 2 weeks and loved it as well. I'd been watching some of the live video of the Ramones playing it and looking around for a lesson on it to fill in some gaps. As usual, there are some RU-vid guys out there with some *really* strange ideas of how this song should be played, and I knew since it was a Ramones song, it would be much simpler to play than what they were doing. :-D You nailed it. As I've come to expect from you. Thanks again for helping me continue to be the cool stepdad...
Ramones!! Legends with power chords!! I remember an interview I read with Johnny Ramone, he said he was not a technical player and refused to do any real solo's.
Thanks a ton, for doing this 1! I've been a Ramones fan for decades now, & I just bought my 1st electric guitar (Squier Bullet Strat). Psyched for this to be the 1st song I learn.
Ooh, good song. I love the solo! Great for beginners. I would like to toss in a couple requests though, (no rush though, still working on seasons and nutshell myself). Right turn by Alice in Chains And Until The End by the Nightwatchman/Tom Morello
Nice work. When I saw the song you had lined up for today I thought "Well, this will be the shortest Ryan Lendt video ever." It's gotta be close. Still a great song. John Hiatt does a pretty mean version of this song somewhere.
I believe Lukin holds the record for shortest lesson. It clocks in at 1 minute exactly :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e-vV_fVG7N4.html
6/21/19. Great song! Great lesson! Ryan. I saw Johnny Ramone play a lead riff on "California Sun," which you can see Johnny play that lead on RU-vid videos, but that's the only lead I've seen him play. On the Ramones 1989 "Brain Drain" album, there are a number of leads that were played by some other guitarist like Daniel Rey and maybe someone else but I'm not sure. Johnny hated that Brain Drain album. Here's a GREAT SUMMER SONG: "PALISADES PARK" that maybe you can give us a lesson on. Chuck Barris of "The Gong Show" wrote it back around 1962 and this song has "REAL" sound effects of screaming people on a real roller coaster ride. It is sung by Boom Boom Cannon and you should check out that video( GOOGLE SEARCH: Palisades Park RU-vid sleazeballninja) on RU-vid. You'll see Boom Boom Cannon point to Mr. Spaghetti( At least this is what Mr. Spaghetti is claiming) from time to time while he's singing this song. That video is great! Could you do the Ramones " STUDIO" version plus the "LIVE" version of "Palisades Park"( The studio version has a lead by Daniel Rey and the live version has just the rhythm guitar played by Johnny Ramone.)? Today is the first day of Summer and "Palisades Park" is a nice Summer song to teach us. Take Care, Ryan.
There is no lesson on Zero Chance by Soundgarden on RU-vid. This is a mistake and we must correct it! Saw someone else request it recently, so this is a request for you to shout that person's name real loud when you do the lesson :)
Me looking at the thumbnail: This tutorial is going to suck... Less than a minute in: "Grandma always brings crappy deviled eggs". Me: This guy is a damn genius! /subscribed. Seriously though, this was great, thank you.
