These guitars are cannons with the sweetest, fullest tone. I have a 1996 D-45 which sounds much like this one and it blows me away every time I play it. It makes me sound good, well, a lot better, anyway.

Great job with the D45. I can tell you that Martin guitars of the same model can and do sound different. My wife tried 5 different Martins, all the same model before she picked one out. The salesman thought she was nuts! She got it home and it sounded great...still does. This D45 sounds wonderful and makes me miss the sounds I grew up on.

The D-45. Top-of-the-line ANY acoustic guitar. What a sound! I did get a D-35 that I had been making payments on. I admit I wanted it for the 3-piece back.

I learned to play that a couple years ago and I was shocked at how "un-hard" it was to play. Really fun song to play! I need to look it up again, though, because I haven't played in quite awhile.

Thats funny , I was singing that song too , a talented girl and a stunning guitar , the rosewood gives it a nice warm full sound and Angela plays it so well , all over the neck it seems to sustain and echo , beautiful , and Ms. Petrilli's passion and enthusiasm is infectious , well done , thanks guys.

Beautiful guitar. Beautiful player. The sound is fantastic. I’m a Zeppelin fan but rain song is not one of my go to songs. Watching Angela play parts of the Rain song I have more respect as I see Jimmy with his odd tuning and up stroke cord playing. Great job. When is Angela joining the Edibles band???

Angela you showcased this guitar really well, people like to hear guitars played like this. This gorgeous D45 looks (and sounds) like it's spent the last 20 years in it's case, time to open it up! And yes, we shared the same "open up case and let's see" moment of excitement with you. Love your enthusiasm, Lemmo and you doing great things for us guitar junkies. More of Angela please, but remember the guitar's the star, just like you did here......we love the history, the detail, the case, the candy, all the insane obscure stuff! I believe GOTD just kicked off again.

@@CenterThePendulum Maybe all the MBV and Sonic Youth songs? They require a Jazzmaster, since they use the unique tremolo arm and play the strings between the bridge and tailpiece.

Hickory McCay Good point on the Jazzmaster, since you’ve mention it I’ve found the same to be true with its use on Under the Bridge. Especially with those 60’s pickups so sought after.
