Watching this with my wife and her comment was, “why is this guy not famous?” Don’t take that amiss. I realize you’re a working musician and are making it. She just meant you’re as good as the best guitar player she’s ever heard and she doesn’t understand why you’re not a super famous rockstar. It’s a compliment. And also a recognition of how many talented people are out there.
I love it. I don't know what's got into lemo but his hitting that rock and roll thing. I'm a old school guy and I love hearing the demo with this type music. You go lemo
I got my stent back in August of 2018. When I came out of it i watched the GOTD with Billy Gibbons Broadcaster. Anyway rock on and do what your doctor says. You have some exercise coming up. Be strong and feel better. With the good flow restored to your heart you are going to feel like a new man.
@@jimbonacum8917 Thanks!! Today pushes my stent total well over 30. My cardiologist, who is also a lifetime friend, says I am just too damn stubborn to die. 😆
@@ardiris2715 jeez you have me beat. I thought I was sending some words of encouragement to a novice. I only have one but it was for a 95% blockage in my left anterior descending, My doctor told me I could have dropped dead at any minute. I had been having some chest pain so I went to the doctor to check on it but I had no idea how much trouble I was in. I always say the grim reaper was tapping me on the shoulder and I said, hey man lemme alone, I'm watchin' my show,
@@jimbonacum8917 My numbers are mind boggling - 4 heart attacks, 4 strokes, 2 CABGs (bypasses) and 1 hospice admiision that I survived. Modern medicine is truly a highmark of civilization. Docs cannot prevent recurring events, but they sure can improve your chances of surviving them. 👍🏻👍🏻
@@ardiris2715 @Jim Bonacum Guys, would ya'll mind sharing how old you are and whether the stents were inserted through your wrist or your hip? Also, did ya'll have full recoveries, as in regular exercise, daily life, etc? Oh, and what meds you're on? thanks for sharing, but if not, I totally understand.
A match made in heaven, this guitar is astounding in tone and vibe. Lemmo's guitar master class for all of us aspiring musicians to consume each and every GOTD. thank you Jen, Norm, Michael, we love you, happy holidays, look forward to many more of these in 2024
Michaels one of the most talented guitarist they are , I’d put him up with all of the big guns out there . Super talented ! Love watching and listening to him play
I had a Black ES-345 back around 1975. I didn't want a 345 or Black, but couldn't afford a new Red 335 and I was able to get the 345 for a really good price. I never quite bonded with the guitar and this guy saw me with it asked if I'd sell it, sold it and then got a Wine Red 335 that I still have all these years later.
Another FANTASTIC Video of Michael Lemmo playing the Gibson Guitar. Really enjoyed watching. Allways enjoy your videos, brilliant. Geoff Lewis, Wales, UK, 🏴
I gave my mum the DVD of Roy Orbison in black and white and it's pretty special. I'd be very happy to get one of the guitars, unfortunately only in dreams, beautiful dreams
I’ve said it once but I’ll say it again, Lemmo’s musicianship, tasty phrasing and feel is top shelf=. Next Level !!!! But the best part of it is that it is immensely enjoyable to listen to. Thank you. Michael, don’t forget to listen to Lenny Breau.
Roy Orbison Black & White Night is one of my favorite concert films along with The Last Waltz. Props to M.L. for making that ES-335 sound absolutely amazing.
I’ve watched this video so many times, as I fell in love with the Murphy labs ultralight aged 59’! This thing looks so great in black but man, that tone is something else. Dream guitar
I've got a 2014 Gibson Memphis ES-335 Studio in all black, no pick guard, no body binding, only one volume one tone pot, TonePros AVR2 notched locking bridge, and locking stoptail, CTS 500k pots, orange cap, cloth wiring, Puretone output jack, Graph Tech Ratio locking tuners, String Butler, non bleached bone nut, and a set of ThroBak Pre-T-301 pickups.
Well, me and Carlos Guitarlos took a little trip in my magic rocket ship. Yeah, we did a line each of some "allergy medicine" at T-Minus 5 seconds Mark stowed away in a New Hummingbird he sent us. The seatbelt light went off two minutes later and Carlos reached under his seat for his trusty frisbee and rolled up a nice one. I reached up and grabbed my sunglasses and pushed the throttle down and we hit 90% the speed of light. Ten million miles out we started picking up MARS Radio and that Guatemalan Gold sizzled the cerebrum. Slow Ride was vibrating the Kickers Carlos had installed. I gave the controls over to Barry 'Piss on Guitar Center' Soetoro who immediately throttled up to warp drive. A Scottish voice came over the Com "Watch out for those Klingons around Uranus". I looked at Soetoro and said "You heard the man" and we all laughed. I grabbed the new Hummingbird to play and Carlos said "Give me" and grabbed it by the headstock and it came right off in his hands. So I took the guitar and bashed it over his head and a note fell out, it was from Mark. It read, "Headstock was already broke, you don't think I'd send you jokers a new Hummingbird do you...HAHA". Butthole. MARS radio began to fade, but NEPTUNE radio was now coming in, I said "Barry, swing us around Neptune and head for home, warp factor two. NEPTUNE Radio was pumping out Pink Floyd's Animals in all its glory. I got on the Com and said "Stallone, we need three cold bottles of Bud up here" "Right away Captain". We cracked them bottles and set a course for the sun ☀️ let go a couple phaser shots into Jupiter on the way, then landed that baby just outside of Norm's Rare Guitars. It was a loud mess when we stepped inside, the loud mess was us, well, mainly Stallone who started pointing at all the guitars he wanted to buy. Norm called the cops and Stallone was once again deported to Guatemala without papers. The universe was once again right and me and Carlos and Barry played rhythm and lead and sang our songs, and got all sorts of drunk after Norm locked the doors.
Barry Soetoro Nobody's coming for your LP. Got 5 songs loaded up and 7 more in the bullpen on my favorite tab site. Drinking a beer and playing/singing them songs....baby he's the guitar man...peace...
Love the guitar!! Dear RU-vid, Please stop putting ads right in the middle of these videos, you are ruining the video watching experience, I'm not against ads per say just when I'm watching a video and an ad all of a sudden pops up right in the middle, may i suggest putting the ads all at the beginning or the end of the video. Thanks.
Nice. Had an early '80s Memphis, set neck type. Black like this. Laugh if you want but it was a good guitar. Normally used 9's but this loved 11's (trapeze tp).
Holy crap!!! That playing was incredible! You don’t see Van Halen being played on that kind of guitar very often. I was never a big fan of the 335 style guitars until I owned one, now they are my favorite.
Jesus Christ! Norm whatever you’re paying this guy, double it! That was f’n brilliant Michael. What a killer guitar and man do I like the sound of those pickups👍👏🤟
