I would say they sound as great as always, but with a different flavour. Your hands are capable of really awesome sounds as well (proof i.e. the katana amp video). That's what I really enjoy, hearing all those different flavours from the different musicians. Keep it going ;)
Mick, great demo! I think you guys overlooked the most interesting thing about the standard fuzz (the black one) and honestly, I don't blame you. Normally, when I've got a fuzz pedal on, I don't dare touch my volume knob because it sounds like garbage immediately! Not this one though! It's crazy how well it cleans up! Seriously, if you haven't tried it out, DEFINITELY worth getting your hands on one again and messing with it! I've been playing mine for a few months now and I can't get over how versatile it is! Using my volume knob, I've wondered if I could get through my whole set using just the fuzz! Crazy, right? Would love to hear your thoughts on it!
Joe Designed the Fuzz to sound good with a clean amp so it makes sense that the Victory was bottoming out! Also, I hear the clean up on the Fuzz is amazing as well, like the NKT. As always, GREAT demo of some great gear!
I won the 'FUZZ' pedal @ the '16 NAMM Show! It really is a great sounding pedal. I like to dial it back a bit so that it simulates the breakup of a tweed amp when digging in.
Could you open up a nkt275 pedal and verify if a nos newmarket transistor is used. All of this advertising seems to contradict what people are finding them to be.
You can't spell fuzz without fu. Thanks for the demo. They sound nice and fuzzy. Oh, and The Captain has some excellent guitars. Mick was getting that Eric Johnson thing near the end - very groovy.
also just a suggestion but in most of these videos you guys are playing blues licks but could there be some variation, maybe playing some rock, punk or metal?
Extra loud shirts plus extra loud Tonebender ...... If I was guessing think the OD might make both Pete and Micks boards .... Fuzz not so sure but if I had to guess would be the red NKT275 Geranium ... Enjoyed it guys :) Unfortunately Anderton's don't carry it ...... yet ..... but maybe The Captain might look into it after his holiday (please) ... the Buffalo FX M-1 fuzz is very cool indeed !!
Pete, you need to try a Fender Excelsior, 12 watt, 15', I am sure you are familiar with it... they love Strats, Teles amd pedals, minimal break up when you crank it, it replaced my Marshall and Bassman, perfect size too.
5:46 fyi Joe is lying. This is called false advertisement. It's all over the net and even mentioned in PG's latest review of the pedal. These are NOT the original transistors.
Thanks for the heads up, regardless of how they sound this has a bad smell about it especially when added to the reports of extended lead times. I am thankful for the Internet and that we can get this information out there before more people are duped.
Sadly interesting but potentially useful info inre: Morgan products. However, re: the whole NKT transistor uproar...has Joe Morgan himself publicly responded at all? If not yet, his silence is kind of damming - for a small company trying to establish a legitimate reputation, he's not doing himself any favors by staying silent. At least RESPOND in some way... Like others I am sure, I too am in a position to support Morgan by checking out his products. And while I do try to support smaller companies whenever possible, especially if they offer what I feel are quality products, well, I also have no desire to be taken for a sucker... Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Why wouldn't you use your guitar's vol knob using the Tone Bender?? Rarely anybody uses a TB with everything on 11. You seem to understand that theory with the FFs but did not even try to "open the box" with the TB. I bet there are tons of great sounds in that box. Too bad...
brilliant pedals..i use a lehle dual to split my bass signal…in all the venues i have played up and down the UK, and festivals, I've never had any loss of signal or ground hum..quite expensive for a pedal that you don't even know is there…but then thats the point .. :-)
No, they are fakes, Morgan is falsely advertising. Andertons were made aware of this months ago but continue to sell them. Very dodgy from all involved.
I think you should comment on the whole NKT275 controversy. We know that you like Joe Morgan but fraud should be exposed. After all you are some kind of journalists. And I like you, so please do the right thing.
Just come across all of this, and I'm a bit surprised. Literally no idea about any of it, so some research is required. In this channel though, we are not journalists, we're product demoers. I'll give it some time and see what I can learn.
My local music store won't let customers try out pedals (including guitars) unless they buy them. It would be nice if I could listen to the tone with my own two ears before making a purchase.
Yeah that's what I did that very moment. I wasn't there for argument, I was there helping my friend looking for a guitar. The next shop I went was awesome. We spent about an hour trying different guitars and settled for a Ibanez GSA60
Glad to hear you found the right guitar for you. If music shops don't let you try stuff there really is no use for them as people will just buy stuff cheaper online, so it really is in their interests to help people!
