Here's a look at one of the most-played blues tunes of all, "The Things I Used to Do", in F with a capo. I talk about the bass line, the rhythm, and the melody of the solo so you can get your own version of this classic going. There are many other great versions from Buddy Guy, Pee Wee Crayton, Ike Turner, Lightnin' Hopkins, etc, but I find a lot of value in really studying the original first.

I really appreciate the fact that you're teaching the rhythm portion of these recordings. It makes learning the lead and fill licks easier when you play it all over a looper pedal.

I unfortunately dont know any theory, is that a certain scale, was always wondering why he sounds like this, those second, fourth fret moves i usually would not do in blues scale, but as soon as i do sth i would it does not sound like guitar slim anymore.

I'll try to go over that at some point. If you know why the blues is often described as a 1, IV V then you're on the right track. I in this case is F. 4 notes up from F is Bblat, that's the IV. (so the 3rd is an A, which is used in the bass line). 5 notes up is a C. so your chords of a I IV V in the key of F would be F, Bflat, C
