Answering a comment about transitioning and picking patterns with cowboy chords, particularly pertaining to Every Rose, Wagon Wheel and Mother. This is just my take on it. Every musician is different and picks a little different.

In the immortal words of Chris Farley...THAT, WAS, AWESOME!!! Absolutely amazing breakdown of what I was asking for...funny thing kinda, when I had an older friend back in high school give me a lesson (the only lesson I ever had), he that taught me the simple part of the beginning to "One" by Metallica, he also told me about the "trick" of keeping your strumming hand in motion to the beat like you mentioned. I guess you could say I just had coordination problems at the time and it didn't feel right, so I appreciate how you dealt with that part, since I still can't determine the best way for me yet, but more practice will provide the path for me in playing comfortably. I can't explain how awesome this video was for me man, I truly appreciate it and will be utilizing it soon, also the way you were able to do it was great! You covered everything I was pondering in a fairly short video...thank you very much... Also, sorry if I just repeated some of my earlier statements :) On a side note, my first "teacher" of guitar back in HS, was this dude who's really popular in Southern Oklahoma/North Texas areas, he does mainly bluesy stuff, but can become almost the persona of the legend SRV in some covers (I'm not talking about guitar skills to SRV level, but for the sound of an SRV cover, its amazing to me how close it sounds to SRV)...the band is called "the Oliver White Group" if you are into blues type stuff on your own time you might check him out and see what you think. If you do check him out, and like it enough to maybe comment you can mention I sent you there and he will know who "Silky" is from college days...that would be kinda cool maybe. Again, sorry for all my long ass comments to you, take it as you will, but again, I can't explain how cool this video is to me...Thank you Sir!! I appreciate your channel, and keep up the good work :)

Saw Old Crow Medicine Show live a couple years back. Fun show. 😊

Could you explain why you mentioned that show? are you referring to the last thing he went into at the end??? Just wondering if you realize what that piece was that he played at the end...it seems familiar to me a bit, but the name you mentioned doesn't ring a bell :) You may have won a price if maybe the title of the song was called out

@SilkySOSU Wagon Wheel was written by Bob Dylan, added to by Old Crow Medicine Show and covered by a few more recent artists. Definitely a country classic.

@@margaretc5679 Thank you so much for the info! I've only heard Hootie's version :) I thought it was pretty cool he could come up with a country song like that (OOPS, I guess not)!!! I'll have to dig into OCMS. Thanks again
