The Yamaha TransAcoustic is a guitar range that includes an actuator on the back of the instrument that picks up vibrations and amplifies them with fx.
The fx include built in chorus and 2 types of reverb. Due to the actuator, the guitar does not need to be plugged in to hear the fx, and this is its most innovative feature.
With the exception of the fx controls and a SRT piezo pickup for plugging in, the FSTA is Yamaha's standard take on the OM. The guitar includes a solid sitka spruce top, laminated mahogany or nato back and sides, a mahogany or nato neck and a rosewood fretboard with a 25 inch scale-length.
Is this guitar a gimmick, or truely something special?
