Just replace him with Sebastian Bach. Sebastian has the range and can still sing without running out of breath. It ceased to be Mötley Crüe when they kicked Mick out.
Do you realize the dudes 62? Yeah he sang a shit ton better in his heyday. I saw vince neil with dudes from slaughter and zoltan chaney on 8/24/23 at the kentucky state fair in louisville and he and autograph who opened up for them rocked the entire city! Seriously give him credit for even still playing live.
Of course he joins in on the bs, he scored the fucking gig :’) What a sorry bunch this has turned out to be.. yes, they have a legacy..yes, they poop on it each and every day..
Mick has vascular dementia. If you have never had to watch a loved one suffer through this horrible disease consider yourself as well as your elderly loved ones extremely fortunate. Every type of Dementia is horrible. I don’t think people are aware that no two patients are alike. Unlike Alzheimer’s, there are several types of dementia that don’t really affect the memory until until the late stages. What it does do is cause major behavior changes that can seem silly at first, but they quickly progress from silly, to having absolutely no filter, confabulating story after story for attention, and honestly I have seen and cared for some of the sweetest people in the world…The most kind and gentle person without dementia is generally the exact opposite of kind, and/or gentle as a patient who has dementia…Mick is most definitely showing several of the hallmark behaviors…I hope someone can handle him. He has been making a total ass of himself as of late. His attorneys should be ashamed. It sucks…and I am sure he is in total denial about the possibility that he may be in the early stages of it…I have yet to see a patient willing to just accept it..Most people lie and and do anything they can to make people think they’re still sharp as a tack and able to do anything they please…Clearly he has not been any of those things for quite some time….It is literally the most cruel disease in the world. His wife needs to keep him out of the media as much as possible.
Came here to say this. I used to love MC and especially Nikki. They have really crossed the line with Mick. I will always love their old music but will never give them another penny of my money.
Yeah I can imagine Nikki Sixx holding it over him.John 5 joining motley Crüe? I don’t get that.Theyre never going to bring out a decent song or album ever again, step backwards into a tired jaded band with fuck all chemistry anymore.
@@TSears2010 I saw them live early on that tour 2005. Mistakes were made and some bickering so proof that at least they were live there. But as mime tech became and industry widespread Motley Crue are just puppets to the tracks and certain parts live now.
@TSears2010 I saw the show before that in Kalamazoo Mi I didnt know they filmed the tour show in Grand Rapids. My first concert at 15. Couldnt hear for 2 days after. I dont remember more than a minute out of 4 hours. It was an amazing first concert. Edit sorry the show after. Tommy Lee had a mowhawk
Even if John hadn't joined motley Crue he could have gone to a lot of other bands very easily you act like he's got no talent and there's nowhere that he could go That's just totally ludicrous He's played with a lot of groups he's very talented artist
except if you look he never took his left hand off the neck so he could have been pulling off notes with his left hand. I'm not in the fight either way I don't care but if people are going to make statements it needs to be accurate just saying.
@@charlessarver8350 the part where he’s adjusting his headphones and you can still hear bass playing… as a guitarist i know how to do hammer ons and pull offs but to do it with no hands on the bass at all.. damn he must be the best bassist ever…
@@harrisonrg777As someone just starting to learn guitar now, he's very inspiring. I know that if I ever lose both of my arms, I'll still be able to play
@@harrisonrg777he is the best bass guitarist ever, just ask him. He wasn't playing much when I heard them in the '80s either. Why bother learning now.
Nooo....I've seen J5 when he was playing with Rob Zombie dozens of times. He had like 8 minute solo sets of him just ripping it, not to mention every Thunder Kiss solo sounded different each time I saw Zombie, and there's tons of videos of him playing raw, his playing ability is real. John of all musicians, is the last guy on the planet that needs a backing track.
Mick was the only one playing live on his final tour. You can find recordings of his in-ear monitors, and it's basically just a click and his own guitar. Very little vocals and other instruments in his monitor mix @@rikkifknrobin
Sad to see John 5 get mixed up with these guys. He has always been a gun for hire and probably thought this was his big chance to be "part" of a band. He ended up with a guy who holds a mic on stage, but can't sing. A drummer with the IQ of a turnip. And a bass player I wouldn't trust any further than I can throw a Marshall stack. I wouldn't even pay 1980s ticket prices to see these guys.
Relax guys he's spent so many years dressed like a clown for Manson, he's just completing the transformation. His final form as it were, he is no longer John5 he has become Clown²
@emilforsberg7620 apparently they was belittling him and calling him names and just under appreciating him in every sense people are so cruel he is the nicest and misunderstood member of motley and I wish I noticed it a lot sooner in interviews and stuff people have a good way of hiding their true colours
@@EmilForsberg_GRYBOthat's not what is happening at all.. .you need to Google it and read what's going on now !!! It's unreal how they're treating Mick and what they wanna take from him....that's why Mick is suing the other guys. Now!!!!!!
He probably agreed to be guitar fro an album and some tours before adn after the album, So then he gets pto play on it and be proud of his own riffs and playing
@@kfing1 only? The tour with def leppard brought in $173,000,000. 173m/2=86.5m x 2 = $8,600,000. After production expenses on the total, dude probably netted probably 1-2 mil
The problem started when they accused Mick of not being able to do his parts right on stage. Mick fired back and exposed them afterward. Of course Motley Crue is going to deny it, they want you to come see their shows. Mick Mars IS Motley Crue
Exposing what? Doesn’t it sound like mick is embittered and is trying to slander people he’s angry at? There’s no evidence of backing tracks. Also use your common sense. They are professional musicians, wth would they use backing tracks when they could just play? Are you suggesting they forgot how to play their instruments?
Whether they use backing tracks or not i dont know, neither do you. But the fact u say "Mick Mars IS Motley Crue" is just hilarious... Go search for a song written by Mick 😂
@@dennisvandenbrand64 it’s obvious to any musician they aren’t using backing tracks. Every “exposed” video has an explanation. Such as there are notes on the bass guitar called “open notes” which you don’t need to finger, and virtually all bands have prerecorded tempo count ins for the start of a song as it’s hard otherwise for everyone to begin in unison due to how sound operates on a stage in an arena it’s easier to have a synthetic count in in your ear piece
I disagree. I always wished they would get rid of Mick. Nikki, Tommy and Vince Meal are Motley…Mick is underrated as a guitarist but that’s not saying much….at all… 😕
@@kaceykennypinson1237 the guitar is the lead instrument in any band. It’s impossible to say you dislike the guitarist but enjoy other elements. By definition a band is a joint effort. It’s like saying you love ice cream sundaes but hate chocolate sauce.
@@Gcssdvnkloiutescyou’ve been defending the band in literally every comment, when the band themselves admit they’re massive pieces of shit, the only thing they had was the “brotherhood” so when they kicked mick out it was over. Went to the 2015 tour btw
MCs PR team has done a good job getting John to memerize these convenient excuses... 🤦♂️ To clarify, i have no issue with them using backing tracks, just be honest about it. And give Mick what hes owed.
Ehh.. zombie ain't that impressive either honestly. He's been doing the same dancing robot on stage for 30 years. They're playing white zombie and first rob album. Rob sounds hashed out too
doesn't matter to me I grew with them I'm not gonna stop liking them after all these years , They sound good live look good live regardless of what the haters say. But I don't like how they cut Mick's money percentage I will ALWAYS like the OG Crue💯👍🏼
I think using backing tracks isn’t bad unless the music can 100% be played by the band. For Motley Crue there are lots of backing vocals and stuff going on so it makes a bit of sense. Either way I miss mick
@@paastizzicreationsthat's true, however when the track is playing triplets you still have to pluck the string to make that happen. He is clearly not picking at all in the second clip while the track is clearly triplets. Rumour is he's so nasty at bass, you can't even see him pick or fret. He's that fast.
As a guitar player/musician who’s been in many different musical situations. I played with tracks and I played old school. Those guys are not being honest at all. If Mick Mars came out and let people know what was really going on and we have video footage of it the band isn’t being honest.
You don't see the video here? No need to go to concert and record it. We literally see it right here? Are you blind? Do you have eyes? Are they connected to your brain? No need to record what's already recorded. Sorry that your has-been lame band can't play anymore and you're in denial.
Heck John 5 seems like one of the most kindest and humble people to ever shred. I can understand using backing tracks if you don’t want to bring a full ensemble of vocalist for an intro . Expensive things a rock and roll band usually don’t tour with. Sounds great on the record But I never expect to see them do that live. Ac DC used a click track on Hells bells. The bells. Def leopard had all kinds of stuff nobody could pull off live on Hysteria. All that sampling. But they still played. But has to make you wonder with no mic on a simple part. If his voice is going out then he needs a vocal trainer like Tony Harnell or Jim Gillette ,Geoff Tate. Anyone Opera trained that can get out of what ever bad habit he is into that is killing his voice. Not lip sync. We’re all human and give out so I don’t judge harshly. I love Motley in the 80s But rock fans want authenticity at a live show. That’s just the hard truth.
Yep, saw it too and last year it's a wall of sound with the live play up against the backing tracks. Vince all of a sudden had amazing singing chops for some songs that were pre-recorded from years ago lol
You can still play live while using 100% backing tracks. Just because you strum the guitar or bang on the drums doesn’t mean that’s what comes out of the speakers!
Without Mick I don't give two _____s what Motley Crue does....Mick put those guys where they are today or have they forgotten??? MICK made the sound of MOTLEY CRUE so no Mick equals no Motley to me ! I will always stand with and for MICK MARS🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Vince hasn't been able to sing or remember lyrics for years. Motley needs to just call it a day. John should stick with Rob Zombie and keep making great music!
re: Nikki playing hands free, motley have such an obnoxiously loud and bass heavy live sound so usually you’re hearing kick drum sustain or low rumbles from the guitar. The “bass” slide for example. Every other time I’ve seen, he is indeed picking open strings with his left hand free. This videos editing was a little misleading when clarifying this. I can’t stand motley these days, as a huge fan, but the argument about Nikki not playing live has always confused me. 9/10 the backing tracks are supplementing GUITAR material. Dr. Feelgood and Kickstart My Heart always had the backing guitars so loud that Micks actually signal was nearly drowned out. They always did that for their biggest hits and let it be just Mick for “less important” songs I guess. Not sure if they’re doing the same from John 5 but I wouldn’t be surprised.
There’s nothing wrong with it because sometimes it’s just easier to use backtracks live since you’re moving around so much it can make it harder to play.
They were originally going to tour right after The Dirt movie was so successful and their music streaming numbers skyrocketed, but then Covid delayed the tour.
John 5 is not biting the hand that's feeding him at the moment, and that's why he won't spill the beans that they are using tracks. Mick Mars came right out and confirmed that it was true. Miming to tracks live has been going on for the past two decades at least. This is why I'll never see another live band at these huge venues because you are not getting a live performance. What they are doing now is 'Brittany Spears' and 'Katy Perry' shit.
It saddens me that the generations behind me don’t have rockstars of their own and my teenage era entertainers are still relevant. When did motley last put out new music?
Well in regards to the first one a lot of bands have backup vocals because they throw the mic out to the crowd to sing back and just in case it's not loud enough they can hear the backup, there are a lot of rock bands that do this
I used to love Motley Crue. And then I saw them on the stadium tour and it was obvious that most of the audio was prerecorded and that became pretty obvious also when the jumbotron shots were mostly of the 'Crue slut' backup singers andNOT the band. The Crue has become their own tribute band unfortunately and I would never go see them live again. Especially knowing how they screwed over a Mick. Who's really the only guy in the band that had any integrity at all. The Crue is over now as far as i'm concerned.
Why is it obvious? I am a musician. It is obvious they are NOT USING BACKING TRACKS. Every “exposed “ video I saw was a blatant naive misunderstanding that any musician can see the truth. like tempo count ins Does not mean Tommy isn’t playing drums especially when you can HEAR THE ACOUSTIC DRUM SOUND IN THR VIDEO. It’s Orwellian how easily you are fooled.
I'm going to guess that John 5 isn't inclined to say Motley Crue, who was obviously using backing tracks, is going to admit it's part of their whole show when he was hired to play for them.
Sometimes it's needed . Whenever my band used tracks I personally thought it was harder with them but we ( the band members) were operating them during the shows. JMO it's no big deal but tracks are different from lip syncing or pretending it's live.
They have earned it at this stage in their careers. I’m not going to pay $200 to go see an aging band , whatever they can do to prolong their careers is all right with me.
I know for a fact that Motley Crue has used backing tracks during their live shows since the Shout at the Devil tour. They became pros using Pro-Tools along with their nemesis rock band Metallica.
Mick is the one guy who still has the skills to play he just can stand on stage night after night anymore. Mick is the Leader of the crue. What is a bunch of talentless hoods going to do without a leader?
