Thank you for reacting to this beautiful performance. I was there on this concert and it was great. Sissel was chosen to perform all the background vocals in the 1997 movie Titanic after James Horner heard her sing the Norwegian hymn that is performed here. It's called "Eg veit i himmerik ei borg" ("I Know in Heaven a Castle"), originally an old German hymn. Did you know that "My Heart Will Go On", sung by Celine Dion, was originally written for Sissel? Since she was not famous enough, the American movie company gave the song to Dion instead.

Hi Danny, I met and chatted with Sissel after her Kongsberg concert last Wednesday. She is so gracious and easy to talk with. Titanic movie score boosted Celine's career no end. However, at the same time Sissel was offered a multi million dollar contract to have her career in the States, but got on the plane and went home to family & friends. She knows what's important in life.
