Hi Marie, Really glad you enjoy our outings and you use them as intended as a resource for your walking. Just wish this sort of thing was around when I start out :). Cheers, Charlie.
Hi Frank, I've always enjoyed this one which makes a good winter day. Covering half the distance on the bike will certainly take the time down and simplify things. Cheers, Charlie.
Hello Goprocaz, Really glad you enjoy looking at our mountain trips. Hopefully, this dull grey spell will change for colder, blue sky days. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
Hi Adam, Your right, the winter is taking it’s time in arriving. Possible a sign of things for future years. The track is certainly adequate for cycling to help eat into the time although the walk isn’t too bad. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
Great video Charlie, perfect timing as I am going to try this tomorrow - will try and cycle the start to take the sting out the walk in. Looks quite interesting up top, Atb, James
Hi James, It’s a good single to for this time of year. As you will have seen there isn’t any snow worries at the moment and the bike will give quicker access. Fingers crossed you get a view as the top is its well positioned for a full array of tops. Enjoy your day and I’ll look forward to viewing your trip. Cheers, Charlie.
Good timing with this 1 Charlie before the big winds moved in. Not looking forward to 60mph tops this weekend but cabin fever's keeping me optimistic for some part of Scotland to find a fairly sheltered ascent! Atb, Steve.
Hi Steve, Its that time of year to pick the weather slots for the tops. It’s frustrating when the good days are midweek and the weekend horrendous, less of a problem for us now but I can appreciate your cabin fever. Hope you get a clear slot for your next outing and a chance to escape for a while. Cheers, Charlie.
Hi Ian, It's a wonder the lightening hasn't battered this one yet as it stands clear of everything. Our first visit was Aug 84 and it hasn't changed. Cheers, Charlie.
@@geoffreysutton760 I haven't gone north from Gulvain but certainly possible to get to the head of the loch. I have tackled the two Munros to the west from Glen Pean but it isn't a route I'd recommend. It such a remote area to get into and that road along Loch Arkaig is the worst in Scotland and always has me stopping due to travel sickness.
Hi Robert, I’ve always enjoyed this single Munro as it has some terrific views of the surrounding tops and it’s always nice to revisit the glen after a few years. Cheers, Charlie
I climbed Gulvain in August 2015, just two days before my "compleation". So I left it until nearly last. It's a bit of a loner. There are great views on a clear day. Cycling in makes it a lot easier.
Hi Keith, I agree the bike simplifies the day but it’s a good opportunity to get some leg miles in for the year ahead. I’ve always enjoyed this top and agree the views are stunning on a clear day. I bet you were buzzing on this one with your compleation just around the corner. Cheers, Charlie.
good to see this one Charlie as I have it on my plan for this year. Could you cycle the track? Some good views from 2012 and 2008. All the same the mist adds a bit of atmosphere. Cheers. Paul.
Hi Charlie, I must admit I haven't heard of this peak before, was that a badly damaged bothy on route? A great shame as can save lives! I am pleased to see little or no snow for folks energy bills but the mountains look great with the white stuff! Best wishes to you both! Mark.
Hi Mark, It’s an old farm building I think but it’s slowly falling down as the years go by. A wee bit snow on the tops would great just to get a feel of winter but we might not be lucky. Cheers, Charlie.
Thanks for sharing Charlie , been watching through your back catalogue again and was wondering how many you still have to catch on camera can’t be many now ?
Hello, I have all my hills captured on camera but unfortunately the movies have been later in my walking journey. Great technology in these camera now that makes it a lot easier to capture things on the fly. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
@@charliemccartney7055 yeah I meant movies , was watching your video on your 5/6 completions my wife was amazed at how many completions you’d gave done given it’s taken me 25 years and havee ten to do , can’t be many more people done more than yous guys 👍🏼
@@Alabamafwee The hills a busier now then they have ever been, which is good to see. It's just a great way to keep active although they don't get any easier. I've generally been 5-6 years between completing rounds and its always the last twenty that are the hardest as they tend to be all over the place. Enjoy you final Munro when it comes. Cheers, Charlie.
Hi Dave, we are Fifers who spend a lot of time in the car to and from the tops. We were driving longer than walking for this top which is just something you need to get used too. Cheers Charlie.
