Gumaan means assumption. You may have an assumption about yourself or others. Assumptions are usually flawed. Like as in example. " ussay guman hay ke woh bohat accha gati hay" She assumes that she sings well. Guman is when somone has a positive assumption, and budgumaan is when you wrongfully assume bad of someone or something. Thanks. Its not ghummand which is Pride. Gumaan also means a wishful thought. Man sometimes English is so inadequate to transfer the nuances of Urdu words effectively. I've almost written a para to explain one word. 😒
