Yet people like this character despite being way worse than EDP445? Sure, it’s a kid's show, but gumball by size of crimes is way worse than somebody like EDP445. Yet do people support and like gumball? Let’s say you replace gumball with EDP445. People wouldn’t like him because he is EDP445. But for some reason, people like gumball despite committing worse crimes than EDP445. If that is the case, then they shouldn’t support gumball.
It’s funny how Gumball and Darwin have committed a dumbed down version of almost every type of felony known to law and this show is somehow still kid-friendly. shows how much this show pushed the boundaries
@freerobux49 @makishi8968 @princibles It's rather strange, a few days ago I read a comment, on another youtube thread, stating it was supposed to be an adult swim show, but was too cute for the channel. Now I looked up more info about TAWOG genesis, and it appears, wikipedia based, (the TAWOG article and the one about Ben Bocquelet) that it was a CN show, supposed to be about cancelled cartoons characters in a remedial school, but was judged too sad and was revisited. None of those wikipedia pages mention AS. I also found a reddit post from 2015 where it may come from, this post mentions that it was supposed to be an AS show (with the whole cancelled characters in a remedial school deal) but was too sad for Adult Swim. The linked wikipedia page doesn't mention anything about it, I guess it was edited since. So, it looks like TAWOG genesis may be blurry. Or I'm just tired and missed things! To be clarified.

Their was an episode where they had to be responsible for their actions and in order to fix it they commit so many property damage and then say if only something could magically end and the episode ends
@@arkauthor I know but it seems like just always get away with the crimes no matter what for once I would like to see an episode where the watersons actually get some consequences for once
Well there is an episode where the town wants them gone so they have SOME continuity. But they just never have to deal with it since their life resets at the end of every episode

@@iaminsideyourwalls2021 Luckily it was rather human trafficking than slave trading, as I'm pretty sure slave trade is the term used when the law sees it as a legit bussiness
Crimes commited in order: 0:00 Human trafficking (selling people) 0:37 Involuntary Manslaughter (when the person had no intention of commiting murder) 1:04 Possibly animal cruelty (abusive/cruel actions towards animal life 1:14 Domestic bribery (When one illegally offers money and/or something valuable to influence a decision or process) 1:39 Assault (Causing harmful actions with no consent) 1:49 Vehicular Manslaughter (Literally manslaughter but related to a car and/or vehicle) 1:54 Disturbance of the peace (Disturbing public spaces by shouting, fighting, and other disruptive behaviour disturbing others) 2:22 possibly Causing hurt by rash act (Making a person feel unsafe or an negligent act that endagers human life) either that or Mr. Small is being dramatic 2:33 technically legal because Darwin asked for it, but this would be considered level 2 of assult; major assult. (hurting someone with a weapon or causing bodily harm) 3:09 not a crime but it managed to end their lives. Involuntary Manslaughter(when the person had no intention of commiting murder) but realisticly this would be Mischief (destruction of property) 3:23 Disturbance of the peace (Disturbing public spaces by shouting, fighting, and other disruptive behaviour disturbing others) 3:56 Not considered assult or involuntary manslaughter since the guy soon came back alive but he does have the power to press assult charges 4:22 Maybe interference or indignity to a dead body (Neglect of a dead body instead of buring it or interfering with a dead body improperly) 4:31 the whole snippet of this scene is Mischief (Destruction of propery making it dangerous and/or useless to others) 4:33 and 4:50 Vehicular Manslaughter (Literally manslaughter but related to a car and/or vehicle) 4:42 Criminal negligence causing bodily harm (reckless behaviour causing harm to others) 4:58 Stalking (Unwanted attnetion, harrassment, or any kind of contact towards a person which causes the person to feel scared) 6:30 not a crime 6:38 Disturbance of the peace (Disturbing public spaces by shouting, fighting, and other disruptive behaviour disturbing others) 7:32 not a crime but it is bullying 7:53 not a crime 8:28 2nd degree murder (intentionally commiting homicide but it isn't premeditated or planned) 8:49 Jaywalking (crossing the street carelessly or illegaly) 8:54 Battery (Causing intentional and/or reckless unlawful force) 9:11 Maybe Fraudulent Misrepresntation (false and/or misleading statments, documents, information, files, etc.) 9:59 Stealing (Taking things that don't belong to you) Correct me if any of these are incorrect
7:53 Gumball himself didn't actually violate anything, but Ms. Simmian definitely violated something. in particular, it seems to me that blackmail/coercion may be involved here, she forces Gambol to go against his own will, in the name of her goals.
To this day, we still have no idea what Gumball was going to do to Darwin as a pencil sharpener... Edit: oh my Christ how is this my most liked comment ever
I feel in a lot of modern cartoons have fallen into the need of making their main characters always as good as possible. They are kind generous people that always put others above themselves. Whenever they do wrong, is usually for a very understandable reason, and they always have to end up learning a lesson at the end of the episode and becoming better because of it this is why I think characters like Gumball are refreshing. Cause let's be honest, gumball is kind of a dick. he's self centered, sarcastic and selfish. there's no empathetic reason for the shit he does, there's no lesson he has to learn at the end of the episode, he doesn't improve, he's just the way he is, and is extremely fun to watch him be like that
It depends. Gumball works because he's in a comedy show, and there are characters who are as unhinged as him or even more. Also there are some morals in the show, Gumball does get the punished for his actions, but the show doesn't go the typical end-of-episode life lessons most kid shows do. I mean Captain Marvel is also a self-centred asshole and a protagonist, but people shit on her constantly. It's much more nuanced than just making the main character an jerk and call it a day.
Still gumball gets punished for his actions or at least gets the worst effects out of them at the end of the episode, the show in a way treaths gumball like the asshole he is and disencourages his actions
Gumball is one of the funniest kids cartoons even at 21 this is still hilarious. Why cant more children shows be like this slightly edgy humor but still fun and innocent
List of crimes seen here (as far as I know): • 3 cases of vandalism • Attempted bribery • 5 cases of assault and battery (once in self defense) • Robbery • Tampering with evidence • Disturbing the peace • Blast fishing • Framing • 2 cases of manslaughter • Multiple cases of negligence leading to injury and destruction of property • Negligence leading to two deaths • "Human" trafficking • 2 cases of attempted murder • Murder
@@johnnyRandomadness Nah. Season 1 sucked aside from a handful of episodes. It was all over the place, was too random, too wacky and Gumball lacked a consistent personality.
@@ShazzledWolf32 Well, for a brief moment it was a picture that had "Alan" kissing Leslie, and Leslie seemed actually pleasant, like he enjoyed the kiss.
Okay, so- I decided to list every crime that was committed in this video (feel free to correct me in the replies if I missed one/made a mistake!) 0:14 Trafficking 0:45 Manslaughter 1:12 Animal Cruelty 1:23 Bribery 1:46 Assault and Battery 1:53 Reckless/Distracted Driving 1:57 CopyRight Infringement 2:28 Second Degree Murder 3:20 Soliciting Suicide 3:46 Assault 3:51 Destruction/Vandalism of Property 3:56 Manslaughter 4:00-4:23 Mugging and Attempting to Cover-Up a Crime 4:36 Destruction of Property/Third Degree Murder 6:30 First Degree Murder 6:36 Second Degree Murder 6:50 Disturbing the Peace/Attempted Vandalism 7:45 Him just being an asshole 8:20 Technical Truancy (I know he got held back, but…he refused to go back to actual school so, yea..) 8:45 Attempted Murder 8:53 Jay-Walking 9:07 Assault and Battery (more on the self-defense side, tho) 9:26 Perjury 10:11 Petty theft (Did I actually write and do research for these? Did I read everything on this? Yes. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Do I think its pointless? Absolutely. And now I wonder how many things cartoon characters get away with simply bcuz its a cartoon
Let's be real this show made us laugh more than American dad and more it didn't even have to cross the children's line to be love by the adults😂😂😂 Best of CN sitcom 💯
definetely need to rewatch gumball, i stopped watching cable around when gumball was brand new, around the first couple seasons, or whenever steven universe was brand new
4:08, This is why I see Darwin as a complete idiot. Innocent mugging victim, with a suitcase full of cash?! I'm pretty sure that he's a payoff suspect if not a bank robbery suspect!
@@SuperNovaBass73 No, if it was a deposit of that much money it would either be transported in an armored truck, or it would be deposited in the form of a check. Besides, what sort of complete idiot would carelessly carry around that much money in public without any form of security?
We should just make an entire genre of comedy about having dark or inappropriate humor that is dumbed down to be technically appropriate, tbh in some ways it feels funnier than normal mature comedy.
I mean lets be honest, up to that point it was just a misinterpretation and then Alan got the idea of becoming a dictator from Gumball at the end of the episode
